Like -4 redeploy time on a dupe that isn't an FRD for example. It's like virtually no impact and will get rarely used. I think the sweet spot is a little bit higher than what Arknights gives but some games dupes can double the power of a unit which is terrible design. 5% per dupe is a good number since it's generally compounding anyway and after 5 dupes you're getting a 28% boost which is noticeable and feels more powerful without trivializing everything. Especially in a party game when you have 4+ characters with a 28% boost and they have synergies with each other further compounding those values can make fights significantly easier. Good to know that the RNG item grind isn't quite as bad as other games but I wish it didn't exist at all. Likewise good to know that the pvp rewards are not too egregious but again, wish they didn't have it at all. I just can't imagine that it will be fun, particularly if you're just getting face rolled by whales who are less skilled than you. So best case scenario it's an unfun grind that you have to do. In gfl1 you can just roll forever with the way rolling gacha works in that game. (atleast when I played not sure if they are more p2w now like azur lane adding UR for example)
Gfl1 did end up becoming "pay to progress" has there only solo play and starting chapter 12 you must have special enhancemeent material that are farmed way too slowly to keep up or must be paid with diamond. i never play genshin or star rail but in my opinion - i dislike the idea of mixed characters and weapons pull in genshin system - i believe the pre star rail age pity system where you need to pull at least x pull to get higher rarity character, that character can be anyone with bias a bit more to banner characters, but that it, in star rail system will grantee second pity pull to be banner characters - i heard that pvp ranking in gfl2 is not competitive but cooperative where players usually put single current noobest character that they have in defending formation, and pvp rank reward premium currency - in gfl1 i played with low rarity characters from time to time, they are almost at good at high rarity characters or as meme(fun random setup)
Gacha sounds abysmal. Less than 1 percent rate is HoyoGreed level of pathetic. I can already visualize pulling for a character and getting 10 crap weapons at a time. I was sorta excited for this until I watched this video. Oh well. Turn-based combat is horrible anyway. I imagine the typical turn-based "difficulty spike" bullshit will drive people straight to the cash shop
obviously you wont be expecting a nikke level of generosity, a lot of gachas these days based off of the hoyo system and change it a little bit. They managed to make hsr feel good being generous to the playerbase with those rates. I am not concerned if they are generous to some degree
@@truenod138 Coming from a day 1 Nikke lover and a Hoyo enjoyer, Hoyo rates makes more sense when individual characters have Hoyo character levels of account value and adds a lot more to your overall gameplay experience. Nikke rates and generosity makes more sense when every other unit is near unusable and doesn't fit in any team or barely in their own niches in a meta based game, and you can't you spend your resources willy nilly in Nikke to experiment either. And lets not forget the 160 wall which you can get stuck on for months because you didn't plan ahead/got particularly unlucky. As for this game, guess we'll see how much worth a new character will be, if it's Hoyo rates with Nikke value, then yikes.
I can agree with most of it. But don’t diss turn based combat. I understand disliking it, but it can be awesome and accommodate some of the deepest, most strategic, and fun combat systems in gaming.
> "Turn-based combat is horrible anyway." That's an extremely fail take if I ever saw one. If you don't like turn-based combat, what are you even doing watching a video about a turn-based game?
Yeah, why they are not adapt dorm pull gacha to their gacha mechanic. Kuro already disappoint me with they following hoyo gacha mechanic. If they have 50/50 I will instantly uninstall it.
I hope the story will be as good as GF1's. Dandelion is back, so it should be good. It's awesome to see the GF1 dorks in 3D finally, and the new dolls fit in very well with them. They better bring back the Sangvis Ferri dolls, they are too good to just throw away. We still don't really know why exactly the Commander leaves G&K in the first game, as the final major event has yet to come out on the CN server. Yes, people don't need to read any of GF1's story in order to play this game. However, there already seems to be quite a lot of character backstories that new players will be confused about. There were 400 or so dolls in GF1, and most will not make it to GF2, so they will probably mention them once in a while to let the veterans know what their dorks are up to now. Reading the main and side stories of the Division collab would help new players learn a bit more of some of the upcoming characters (UMP9/Lenna, UMP45/Leva?, HK416/Klukai, G11/Mechty, Vector, PP-90/Uchi?, Type 97/Jiangyu, MP7/Cheeta, AA-12/Linda, and Springfield).
It won't be any near GFL 1. They killed off the good characters just for the mainstream ones to lewd. Because a lots a people leaved the game cuz the long debut time and dramas, cringe content, the only way they can come back is by making coomium to catch the simps and newbies. Mica betrayed and still toying with the fanbase. Q&As are a joke too, we get zero answers whenever we ask anything.
Not hating on gfl2 i played the cn ver of gfl2 for 1year and realistically i dont think it will be a huge sucess like zzz, wuwa, hsr, genshin, etc the tops ranking gacha game but gfl2 is still a rlly good game and people who are interested should give it a shot
MICA/Sunborn games have never been mainstream to begin with, the fact that GFL2 is become so popular before its launch is something new for the company and fans of previous games like me. Also, there's one aspect of these games that have carried them through the years: The story and characters. This company tends to make stories that are a little more realistic, grounded and mature, leaning towards darker and depressive tones sometimes. You combine that with a military context and the "PTSD simulator" meme is born.
I don’t think comparing gfl2 to other gacha games like genshin isn’t a good comparison as while they are both gacha they also have different mechanics as most gacha games like genshin are open worlds, especially now of days. In fact because of this it gives gfl2 a chance to grow as it will be one of the few big named gacha games to be a strategy aka a different market from what other gacha games are going for. Even other gacha games like Arknights that started as a strategy game is have an open world game in the works. So gfl2 has a dedicated fan base as well as new players that want to start new or prefer strategy games over open worlds. As for the controversy, a lot of global players thought the ntr drama was stupid with most thinking the cn players were overreacting as it wasn’t even ntr. One character just had a friend in the 10 year time skip and there was no mention of any kind of romance. Other drama like it wiping your computer when uninstalling the game depending on how you download it, yah that was bad. Really bad but it’s fixed. All in all them going to global is a smart decision as the cn market is pretty low so opening to a new market is going to be a benefit and it will probably surpass cn as the bar so far that is pretty low. In short it think it’s going to do well. I don’t think it’s going to pass arknights but i think it’s still going to do well as long as nothing insane like the game erasing your hard drive happens. As its new a release of a old but loved title with being a new gotcha to the generally forgotten strategy genre it has a good starting point to launch off from imo
@@aottadelsei980 Excuse me but apart from Genshin and WuWa what (currently out) gacha games are open world? As far as I can tell practically none. Sometimes I see previews with really fanservice-y characters (what I want), other times I see regular genshin censorship with granny bloomers/spats under skirts... Which is it?? Can I expect proper uncensored fanservice this time? I ain't gonna waste my time at something like genshin anymore.
The game has already been out in China for a year and so far nothing over there has been censored for this game.
@@VictusPrime well, if the initial design is censored already (like genshit/hsr/wuwa), then there's nothing left to censor further? But that's not good for me, I want proper fanservice. Guess I'll see for myself in few days, but so far it looks very disappointing.
@@vincentwolf1456 Well, what do you define as "proper fan service"? Do you expect to be able to completely undress the girls and have them react to you clicking on their vaginas? Or do you just want bikinis and jiggle physics? I don't really understand what you're saying besides you just making assumptions.
This game is rated 18+ on the app store in my country, whereas Genshin, WuWa, etc are all rated 12+. I think that's all you really need to know about what you can expect from GFL2 in terms of fan service.
Is this game worth playing?
Answer is no!
The game clearly takes on the hoyoverse gacha system and on top primarily focuses on fanservice
I cannot trust a game that has more effort put in their dormitory than the actual combat game itself
In China, this game has extremely bad reputation for stupid NTR stories, low rewards, and hidden banters on players
Game would be a hit but this game is a money grab and they have the formula for it they have waifu that most men wont mind putting a house down payment to get so FOMO and gacha creator making videos hyping units will make this game super sucessful and company super rich
Great video - focused well on all the points and I appreciate avoiding any clickbaiting or drama topics
Is there any multiplayer feature? Can you farm dupes? In neural cloud you can farm dupes but it takes a few months to max out a unit that way.
So yeah. The game ended up falling slowly. It's because of that pay to progress policy that some dev got away and developed arknight.
@@kuuransworkshop4243 Oh I didn't know that, I am still playing arknights to this day.
@@kuuransworkshop4243 that's just false, neural chips/parts are easy to get and collect, protocol assimilation is fine but not perfect but considering you get scarecrow for free you don't really have issue with it.
@@kuuransworkshop4243 the dev leave because of scifi/fantasy direction agreement
Welp, not gonna play with this gacha system. Unfortunate
Nobody wants you to play 😂

weak. Imagine not wanting to pull guns.
This game have …Hsr gacha system , genshin constellation (up to c6) , arena like epic seven (good framecand currency at high rank and have rta ). Wait 1 year gap to suffer really questionable game
This is a random comment but just wanted to let you know I genuinely appreciate your style of content and such. I don't know your reason for starting content creation but please keep it up, honestly if I start any new game and I see there's a hexadaze video it would just make me so much more hyped, if I had it my way I would wish for a hexadaze video for all upcoming games. I look forward to whatever direction you go in the future. Anyways thanks man 👍!
I appreciate your comment and encouragement a lot!
AH! I see what you did there LMAO 0:47 "most important ASSpects of the game" 🤣🤣
Its not worth playing. Shit gacha system, coomer character design, boring gameplay, boring story, worse animation than hoyo game
i'm xcom fan, I have been waiting for this game for a long time
They even copy hsr gacha rule and constellation of genshin (imagine it as hsr but can pvp now you know how this idea gonna be bad). There gonna be huge different gap between whale and f2p especially it was pvp game . Max currency that you got from arena pvp is 2k assuming you rank grand master . Everyone gonna try hard to got to grand master rank but got stomp by money gap between f2p and whale . Good luck people who are play for waiting cn character coming to global i doubt how much people will last from waiting for 1 year not pull at all and constant got bully by whale
i never play genshin or star rail but in my opinion
- i dislike the idea of mixed characters and weapons pull in genshin system
- i believe the pre star rail age pity system where you need to pull at least x pull to get higher rarity character, that character can be anyone with bias a bit more to banner characters, but that it, in star rail system will grantee second pity pull to be banner characters
- i heard that pvp ranking in gfl2 is not competitive but cooperative where players usually put single current noobest character that they have in defending formation, and pvp rank reward premium currency
- in gfl1 i played with low rarity characters from time to time, they are almost at good at high rarity characters or as meme(fun random setup)
Question: It's pc client is still available in Vietnam region right? 😢
I imagine the typical turn-based "difficulty spike" bullshit will drive people straight to the cash shop
weak.
obviously you wont be expecting a nikke level of generosity, a lot of gachas these days based off of the hoyo system and change it a little bit.
> "Turn-based combat is horrible anyway."
That's an extremely fail take if I ever saw one. If you don't like turn-based combat, what are you even doing watching a video about a turn-based game?
most important asspects indeed, i see what you did there
Good video! A little disappointed that they decided to follow Hoyo's gacha system, where they mix characters and weapons in a single pool.
Yeah, why they are not adapt dorm pull gacha to their gacha mechanic. Kuro already disappoint me with they following hoyo gacha mechanic. If they have 50/50 I will instantly uninstall it.
that game play looks soo boring, I'll pass
Gameplay like rabbids tactical game. Or the newer Mario and rabbids game. Definitely not for everyone.
Looks exactly like a mobile game based on xcom should look like. You just don't like the genre.
@@Группа5049.3 about the drama, is it true that they change the story and fired the writer?
Gacha, waifu, pvp, my holy trinity 🎉🎉🎉
6:50 untill you try maxing some attachment stats, and what you got is -50% attack percentage or Crit rate/damage 😂
It never succeeded in CN due to all controversies it had and I don't think global version will differ as well, just don't expect it to be on the top
MICA/Sunborn games have never been mainstream to begin with, the fact that GFL2 is become so popular before its launch is something new for the company and fans of previous games like me. Also, there's one aspect of these games that have carried them through the years:
The story and characters.
WuWa pretty much confirmed that there's not much space for any more, and most people will still rather play Genshin because they're already invested, multiple open world gachas are too exhausting.
Genshin alone is exhausting. I play genshin only for character and story.
sub! hope to see more guides about GF2!
Thanks for the sub!
