For me the coolest part comes after Daniel’s first solo. He takes over rhythm and Robert starts a solo in a higher register. Noticing that he himself is playing rhythm in that same register, Daniel immediately mutes those higher strings, then moves down the neck to open up “room” for Robert. Simple little things like that can make anybody an instantly better musician. Anyone can take that away from these guys and apply it to their playing today. Very cool guys!
Cookin like culinary class y’all 😳😳 DAMN!Heavy stuff! At times I felt like I was in the swamps of the Deltas. So emotional and spiritual! Thanks fellas.Big ups/Peace
Killer collaboration! Both of you are super talented cats who push the boundaries of the style of music you play- if someone ever asked me what would a Nashville Gospel psychedelic church sound like, I’d just show them this!
The “sound police” would have been bounced immediately if he tried that stuff with Daniel playing with Don Kelley on Broadway! This is one of Nashville’s finest.
All the greatest guitarists of all time have incredible rhythm skills. While Dad's solos are always fire, his funky country rhythm is so heavy and infectious.
Magical indeed! I first saw you at Robert's Western World 5 or 6 years ago, saw you there many times, caught you in a last minute deal at Layla's one night, went over to Bloomington Indiana to see you in the summer of 18 playing in a basement recording studio at like 10 o'clock on a work night. You have never disappointed me. Keep up the great work.
I see amazing things happening for you Daniel, it's just a matter of moments like this to reach an audience that's begging for you to come into their lives but haven't discovered you yet.
robert randolph is the most exciting player in the last hundred years... that telecaster with the rosewood neck screams i want one!..... that had to be the highlight of the whole show right there.
I can understand him wanting to capture such a magical set, but I have to say I was glad he shuffled off around 9:25 and we could finally appreciate Daniel full-on! 😁pity he popped his head back into the frame later...🤦🏻♀️
So wonderful to hear and see the creativity of two bros smoking their strings makin new stuff from old stuff. As an old blues rocker from the 60s you guys sure bring the old into the new type of blues. You lnow blue comes in many shades and you two together got your unique shade Lol thanks for the ear candy hope more youngsters pik up on whats unknown is known its just different created by different minds whove gone through life trails to cross paths to create a sound that when their old will be in a class of tjeir own. Thanks for healing peoples souls with your touches together spreading the Love
Dang what a groove you guys!!! off the wall, thats some really sick, nasty hard groovin blues gentelmen, I hope I get a chance to see you two play live, you all are great - and I do mean that in the sense of, approaching the level of Atkins/Knopfler. quite nice tone and technique on the both of you and great use of sound in general. if you come to my town, I'll owe you a steak
Tonight my jaw dropped, that doesnt happen often, first time I heard of you Daniel. I dont play out anymore, and got out of music, I dont listen to radio either. But I can tell you that you are up there with the Vince Gills, Brad Paisleys, and Albert Lee's. Wow, just blown away ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great video Daniel. A pleasure to see those creative juicing flowing in the form of improvisation. Us guitar hacks in out here in guitarland learn so much from this sort of stuff. Keep em coming :-)
Amazing! Saw you at Garcia’s a couple of months ago in NY. Been a fan of Robert Randolph since he was your age! So fun to see you play together! (I even started to become a fan of annoying-big-head-beard video guy who kept creeping in on the left LOL)
Sensacionaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllll....2 Montros juntos...que monstruosidade...Esbanjando talento, harmonia e muita miusicalidade!!! Obrigado!!!!
The best part was the giant melon that kept creeping into the frame from the left and blocking the view of DD's playing like the sun being eclipsed by the moon.
Thought was Corey Henry when I saw the thumbnail, and was like “damn this dude has crazy chops on literally everything.” Next-tier playing, as always. You’re the future of country Edit: don’t let mark agnesi find out you had your snark on the headstock lmao
1:51 and then you got that clown in the background who reminds me of the dude who sits at the entrance of best buy w/ a monitor in front of him who slowly began to believe he was an actual cop.
Two of the smoothest operators alive today.

Denado in Randolph Brilliant!
The best part is that guy trying to lay down the convention center law.
Cookin like culinary class y’all 😳😳 DAMN!Heavy stuff! At times I felt like I was in the swamps of the Deltas. So emotional and spiritual! Thanks fellas.Big ups/Peace
Randolph's playing just makes me smile.
Out of this world!
Two great players going at it, man this is awesome!
Two of my favorite players! You guys are smokin'. I love it when the DB police tells them to turn it down for the 3rd time! No can do! Turn it UP!
Great Dany!👍👍👍👍🇮🇹
Killer collaboration! Both of you are super talented cats who push the boundaries of the style of music you play- if someone ever asked me what would a Nashville Gospel psychedelic church sound like, I’d just show them this!
Robert Randolph Smile at you. Win!.. Fun stuff!
So good. Around 5:25, RR did some things on the steel that reminded me of Derek Trucks. Killer chops from both he and Donato!
Saw him at Summerfest in Albuquerque. Very cool.
yessir. them vocal/singing lines and feel they bring.
The “sound police” would have been bounced immediately if he tried that stuff with Daniel playing with Don Kelley on Broadway! This is one of Nashville’s finest.
Great stuff, guys. The “Volume Cop” in the background was hilarious.
All the greatest guitarists of all time have incredible rhythm skills. While Dad's solos are always fire, his funky country rhythm is so heavy and infectious.
This video is under rated.
Oh man what a killer jam. With the one and only Robert Randolph.
I'm still rewatching this a year and a half later!
YEEHAW! #COSMICCOUNTRY
What a jam!! Great to see two incredible players 100% comfortable freely creating. And even without drums and bass, there is so much groove!
Thank you!

It's Danielson on his way to the crossroads!!! Amazing jam!
haha at 5:00 Daniel is like 'okay lets trade bars now call and response, oh okay nevermind,' shreds
such a pleasure to watch and hear!!!!
A great lesson here for young players in dynamics when playing lead vs backing with rhythm.
how do you have anything less than 100k subs?! youre a beast!
I am scrolling through all the NAMM stuff in anticipation of your April visit to VT - identifying clips to send to friends. Great stuff as always!
Can the guy put his damn phone down and just enjoy it lol
I can understand him wanting to capture such a magical set, but I have to say I was glad he shuffled off around 9:25 and we could finally appreciate Daniel full-on! 😁pity he popped his head back into the frame later...🤦🏻♀️

That was great. Both outstanding musicians. Daniel love your playing-you can always see you're having fun and have a passion for the music. Very cool.
Haha! That was so fun! What a treat. ^-^
Beautiful, authentic, and fun. Great jobs guys. Loved it!
Robert Randolph..Holly cow - Wow! Daniel Donato - a seemingly endless river of great riffs, in that way, a bit like SVR.
At 7:38... Daniel's progression and Robert's lead was some magical shiznet! Straight up Surf Blues
Daniel, I enjoy your talent and love for the guitar. I play pedal steel and guitar, so this is a double treat.
Lotsa talent there guys! Great job!!
WHOOEEEEE!!!

Two GIANTS playing incredible stuff.
Try to not let this go to your head, Daniel... but you are going to be the next great guitar god
Wow. Amazing Crossroads duel lick at 4:30 !!
The best part was the giant melon that kept creeping into the frame from the left and blocking the view of DD's playing like the sun being eclipsed by the moon.
Dude, I can't wait to see Robert Randolph when he comes to town.
Thought was Corey Henry when I saw the thumbnail, and was like “damn this dude has crazy chops on literally everything.”
Next-tier playing, as always. You’re the future of country
Edit: don’t let mark agnesi find out you had your snark on the headstock lmao
Thanks! Just bought my ticket for May18th... looking forward to the show
Awesome! How do you get that tone out of a tele! Sounded like an electrical banjo!
@@danieldonato What pickups are those?
11:22 him checking to see what pedals daniel has on lol
Certified, Pasture Raised, & Farm to Funk. You've got em' fed. Great grub for your ear hole.
Ugh. I’m dying inside a little bit as I was just a few booths down at the time at Floyd Rose and didn’t realize this was happening. 😩
I don't know whats up with the fartknocker trying to crash the party but that was ana EPIC JAM!

1:51 and then you got that clown in the background who reminds me of the dude who sits at the entrance of best buy w/ a monitor in front of him who slowly began to believe he was an actual cop.
Clown is right. What a jerk. Reminds me of a cop. Just saying...

Thinking that guitar matches his shirt and should be his
WOW!!!!! Not much more to say.

Hahha o fiscal não perdoa não kkk
Lap-steel sounds almost like fiddle in here
Especially around 4:19
I felt like Robert lost the one several times but damn what a jam.
Best moment... ha
The NAMM sound police.
