Don Kelley,.JD Simo,(23 YO)..Daniel Donato (17YO) ..Arthur Alinikof,...Slik Joe Fick..
Chickin Pickin at its ''BEST''. Видеоклипы
What’s terrifying is that JD doesn’t hybrid pick like all the other lightning-fast Nashville players. He flat picks everything. It’s borderline impossible and he makes it look like child’s play.
and even more double, triple, quadruple terrifying, is that according to JD himself, he learned to play those country licks like that/non hybrid within only a few weeks or months or something??
Wtf
@@MrBennieb5769 well he was already a very good player. That hot Nashville type sound is not something totally different than every other guitar style.
It's just a style and a certain way of playing the same notes he had been playing all his life
@@MrBennieb5769 He had an audition with Don here....and had to come up with something FAST....no time to learn hybrid picking. He made it tho.
What you smoking ?@@dekalbes335
Country is the new heavy metal.
JD Simo achieves time travel.
I played a gig with Daniel in San Francisco.Holy Shit. It isn't all hot lead breaks. He is some sort of uber genius of country guitar. Every riff or chord shape or lick was perfectly thought out and yet seemed completely in the moment. One of my fellow country songwriter/musicians out here on the west coast immediately made plans to go to Nashville specifically to see more of Daniel. And you should too. Buy yourself a plane ticket to Nashville, cuz you can't buy a plane ticket to see Roy Buchanan, Roy Nichols or Jimi Hendrix. He and JD Simo are that good.
+Misisipi Mike .....I have been to Nashville 7 times...to film bands..this being one of them....Thanks for commenting..
Soon as I get cashy enough
Im going to see him in Portland Maine next week with his Cosmic Country band. He's come a long way!
That harmonic at 4.37 and Daniel's reaction is priceless! This is so good.
Donato is one of my favorite young axe slingers around, but Simo literally ain't even trying. He's got his eyes closed and he's still smoking!
What a lesson. As it should be between guitar players. Fun, happiness, brotherhood. A round of applause!
My two friends taking turns picking amazed i played with Daniel Donato and i met JD Simo in chicago And his Joe Fick played bass with Johnny Cash on walk the line........Amazing players and we are all friend......Tracy Popwell Timohy.....
God bless Don Kelley!!!!!!!!
JD Simo just owns everyone
Agreed. I mean his left hand is unreal, but watching his right hand blows me away. Incredible talent.
he's absolutely possessed
Yeah. He's like Faustian Bargain good
two kings of guitar. incredible talent & what a treat to have them on the same stage. WOW!!!!
Wow that's just fantastic, both JD and Daniel are really amazing. Very cool to see Daniels enthusiasm, seems like a good guy.:)
Great audio on this video guys - JD and Daniel are incredible - we're lucky enough to live in the area and catch these guys every week or two. I think JD's phasing out of the regular rotation...albeit gradually because he's finally and deservedly getting the national acclaim that he deserves. I think Don Kelly deserves a lot of credit for taking these players in and cultivating their already incredible talent! Don's had Redd Volkaert, Kenny Vaughan, Jonny Hiland, JD and now Daniel. Unreal.
I keep coming back to this. Absolutely incredible, terrifying and simply AWESOME.
Two best guitarists in the world
Inspiration can come from young and older. Some awesome picking right here!
the good country guitarists are so fast that they can travel in time
didn't realize how good JD is! 🤘
I saw these guys a couple of days ago. I was floored by their musicianship.
That ending makes me smile every time!
That is just an awesome performance from everyone! Wow :-)
Daniel a machine that plays notes
JD expresses his soul in every note and phrase
Huuuuuge difference
Age gap
Yeah that's an age thing, look how Daniel plays now, quite different
JD Simo rules.
Good god jd simo
JD just casually shows them how it's done!! Lol
DAMN I WISH I WAS THERE TO SEE BOTH OF THEM TOGETHER!!!!
really ridiculously awesome
Who's the guy on the left? Damn, he's like lighting. Fast, fluid, and makes it look easy.
Lothar Roberts JD Simo
and he is not a country player
That comment you replied to is from seven years ago. Any comment on this video that shows some familiarity with JD Simo is from a year later. Hell, the first response to his question is from two years after the original comment. And you are thickheaded enough to respond "lurk moar" as if you're talking down to someone who knows less than you? Maybe don't be so eager to jump on an opportunity to be a dick for no reason.
Daaaaaaaaaamn JD!
i played on that same stage last month with the silver threads.
That bass player is cool as hell!
Joe Fick...He played Elvis bass player in the film... Walk The Line..Johnny Cash storey..
mini simo for your pocket
INSANE guitar playing. JD had the best chops of any of Don's guitarists because he flat picked EVERYTHING....
TALENT!
Super Super Super !!!
DAMN!
Look at Lil' brother go !
he is smoking those strings!
G
how in the hell does a 17yr old kid get that good on guitar ridiculous skills
john bethell JD is his teacher/mentor I heard.
actually Johnny hiland is mentor
By practicing
It not just practicing; he’s hard-wired for it. I’ve been practicing for 35 years and couldn’t in 10 lifetimes approach what these guys are doing. Some people just have a gift - accept it and throw out your guitars, you’ll never be this good.
You sleep with your guitar and play it every waking moment.
Jd!!!!!!!!!
Dammmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnn Son!!!!!!
haha don at the end tells donato to get off the stage
JD’s got great tone
@Lothar Roberts J. D. Simo
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
extraaaaaaa
johnny hiland.
Plus Redd Volkaert and Bill Kirchen. The Telewhackers. Old guys rock too!
Is that open tunning or standart tunning?
+John Gillispie wow amazing! Visit my youtube channel man!
@00:41 so in sync. U need to see this.
Anybody see Ted Nugent with Amboy Dukes?
Used to see him perform w/ the Amboy Dukes in 67-68 at the Hullabaloo Club, Forest Park Shopping Center, in Dayton, OH. First time I ever saw anyone play a Fender Twin on "10"....his ability to control feedback out of that Byrdland was unreal, as was his playing...
And People talk about Steve vai, satriani, and malmsteen... Get a life...
This is just ridiculous... Where did Donato learn all that!??
from G O D
I know I'm 10 years late but he took lessons from johnny hiland
Porca mignotta che tiro!
