    Thanks man I really appreciate this video. Also I do think I am ready for the physical side of basic aswell as some of the knowledge I need. The physical side because at my school after school the marine recruiters bring people from the delayed entry program(I think) to work out and run and condition so after football practice I tend to go work out with them if the let me which most of the time they do. On the academic side I'm learning rank structure and basic commands like left face, right face ,and about face. Just the basics

      @@josemexjr2844 made it through basic easy, completed airborne. Came to bragg and started awaiting training, i made it 4 weeks into pc and aced all my apft’s and ruck marches and runs but ended up getting stress fractures in my shins, im on profile and recovering but i will recycle and get another chance. Its been good so far, just got to get over this hump and start pc again so i can go to selection. The most common injuries here are lower leg injuries. They build you up and give you everything you need, 18x really is the golden ticket to becoming a green beret. They teach you advanced land nav techniques, and we run all our ruck marches, and we do a-lot of 5 mile runs at an 8-9 minute pace. Also something a-lot of people don’t know is that if you fail land nav at selection and your not a piece of shit sand bagger as an 18x you get recycled back through pc and get to go to selection again. The hardest part so far has been basic training, you come to find out that the drill sergeants and all the people at fort benning who talk shit to you and say you’re not going to make it are just jealous and mad they have to be a ds. A-lot of kids got to basic and immediately dropped their contracts cause they were intimidated. The lowest score i ever got on an apft was 292, and im always in the 13 minute range on our long ruck marches. The last pc class had a 56% selection rate and the one before that was 52%, it used to only be in the 20 percents before they changed sopc to pc. Its a great contract. Also something to keep in mind is that if u dont get at least a 265 on apft’s your chances of getting selected (if you make it through sfas) is only 1%. Hope u learned something from little rant lol

    Real talk, is 18x even worth it? I need some strong advice. I'm having trouble deciding between different branches in the military. My main debate is either trying to become a SEAL or become a Beret. Any advice?

    • @JohnS677
      @JohnS677  3 года назад +16

      I'd say out of SEAL or Beret, Beret might be a little safer. If you wash of if SEAL training you automatically get put to needs of the Navy, 18x you have a decent chance of staying 11B, and a nice path into Ranger Regiment.
      But it's also up to you. Do you wanna be a force multiplier or a frogman?

      I ship for Benning on 03/21/2021. They offered the 11X contract to me with a $40,000 enlistment bonus. My thought process was that it wasn't worth it. I think that 99.99% of people who go for 11X are people who have no idea whatsoever what they're getting themselves into to. My current path to the SFAS is to just to go directly into the infantry for a couple years, go to Ranger School, and maybe if I'm still interested I would think about attending the special forces stuff.

    • @SuperColonel91
      @SuperColonel91 2 года назад

      @@JohnS677 so if you drop an SF Packet and you want to be an 18C
      How would you specifically get "18C" on your Contract?
      And let's say for Instance, if a 19K who just reenlisted and he dropped an SF Packet and he made into the Special Forces as an 18C, how much longer would he have to be in the Army for?
      Do Special Forces Soldiers get trained to use Field and Air Defense Artillery?
      Also when you drop your packet for 18X how would you get extra Training such as Diving and Pathfinder and the Army's Master Driver Course?
      Sorry for all of the questions, it's just something that I am curious about.
      Because if I was Army, I would start off as a 19K and get Airborne on my Contract and once I got to my unit go through the Air Assault School!
      Then once I got back from deployment and I was finishing up my time as a Tank Crewman I would then drop my SF Packet, make it through Selection, then hopefully get Combat Diver and Pathfinder on that contract and even the Master Driver's Course as well!
      Hopefully somewhere in there I'd go to Sapper School and Graduate and get that to my name.
      Then hopefully I'd do so well in the Special Forces that I would go to Delta Force!
      That's a two year obligation I believe?
      If so, after completing an enlistment as a 19K and then going into the Special Forces and then going into Delta Force plus all the extra schools and courses that I just named off previously that all should put me at 10 Years of Active Duty Service!
      Then I would Reclass to a 12N Horizontal Construction Engineer and get Ranger on that Enlistment and complete that school as well.
      I'm guessing that that would be a 3 year enlistment as well.
      Then after that enlistment I Reclass again and go be a 42A Human Resources Specialist which be another three year obligation as well.
      Then after that I would have a total of 16 years of Active Duty Service.
      But for my final four years in Service I would Reclass yet again!
      Only this time to a 68C, an Army Nurse.
      Then I would become a Medicine Man Warrior just like Geronimo!
      So finally when my 20 Years of Active Duty Service would hit, I would retire and walk out into the Civilian World with my previous MOS as a Nurse, and even a Volunteer Firefighter with it as well!
