All jokes aside, I love how Phil has so much empathy and love for a wild pigeon, an animal the majority of people wouldn't care about, or even think of as pests. He was so genuinely dedicated to saving an animal most people wouldn't give a shit about and things like this really show the contents of a person's heart. Phil just has so much empathy for every living thing and I love that so much.

I was literally thinking the same thing throughout the video. He's seems so genuinely caring towards steve and seems pretty educated about the pigeon as to keep it safe and happy. I really appreciate people that show the same amount of care and respect to all creatures on this planet, to the same amount that we would typically care about each other, that is.
Some people seem to like animals because they are easy to project on, but the ones who really show their love towards animals broaden their mind and heart to care and learn about them and treat them as a living creature that we coexist with.

Fun fact: Most pigeons are actually domestic breeds, and technically they are not "wild" animals, they are simply feral. Like how you'd see a feral cat on the street. That's why a lot of pigeons are chill with being around people.
exactly! pigeons are pets and have an incredibly hard time finding food on their own and usually eat things humans drop like bread which they cannot fully digest, hence the weird white stool instead of they're usually small brown stool. :(

This is honestly so cute to see because this pigeon TRUSTS Dan and Phil, like even when they suddenly put him in a cage and started carrying him he barely freaked out at all like most wild animals would AND he returns all the time still. I love it so much these two chose the best method of helping Steve and didn’t once think “what would be easier for US” it was only “what would be better for the pigeon” and honestly these are the types of people we need in this world, the compassion, empathy, kindness and determination is so refreshing and rejuvenating to see
