Blaque! I loved the singing group from my teenage years, I had their debut cd album when I was age 15 or 16 either in year 1999 or 2000. Who is this host Jojo, how do you not know about some of these groups. :/ Rest in Power rappers Left Eye, and Natina Reed.

I love all of the girl groups from the '90s and early2000,s but especially Blacque, EnVogue, and Escape. But all of the rest of them were great as well
My favorite girl group is the original lineup of Destiny's Child with Beyonce, Kelly, LeToya and Latavia. Not only were they super talented and beautiful, but they were also very stylish yet glamorous. They first came out when I was 16 and I loved them. When they broke up, I felt like they weren't the same. I also loved 702 and Before Dark

How could you not remember Brownstone? They were Michael Jackson's creation. Also to this day I believe Total was created as the female equivalent to Jodeci. Same stylist and everything.

En Vogue was the best 90s girl group hands down. SWV was also a dope group with classic songs and albums. 702 is underrated in regards to their music. Meelah has a beautiful voice and they had a unique style and sound.

They weren’t vocalists so it’s natural that they would bring in another element to contribute to the group. Lisa was very creative and imaginative to begin with.

@1:35 I was graduating from high school around the time Hold On from EnVouge was released. Singing Who's Loving You by The Jackson 5 in acapella, then a sample of James Brown's The Payback dropped, EnVouge nailed it and have been a fan of theirs ever since.

I don’t either … this has been proven wrong because I feel like EnVouge didn’t have one distinct lead they call sung their parts and carried it well. In that group I never saw one as a lead over the other. I also feel like TLC never really had a lead they all contributed differently and carried their weight equally. There were some songs TBOZ lead vocally and some that Chilli led vocally and Left Eye was the hip hop addition and in some songs she led …

I still love the 808 Remix today, I will never forget when I had first heard on the radio when visiting a city in Alabama for a family reunion in Summer 1999 at age 14 going on 15.

LOL, I think she's overstating Blaque success. 'Bring It All To Me' was NOT a summer 2000 hit, it peaked at the end of 1999/early 2000. And they were mere supporting players in the 'Bring It On' movie, and their song from the soundtrack ('As If') flopped. Blaque was largely overshadowed by Destiny's Child, who were the #1 girl group of that era, and were on the same record label as them.
