If they put the vacuum attachment in the back then I'm definitely buying one. I've always used a 3/32 but I think im gonna try the 3/16 cause the 3/32 is kinda slow
Without a doubt the best tool in cordless sanders having the form factor of a Dynabrade is the Bosch GEX18V-5N. It cost 1/3 the price, is 18V and with a 4 A-hr battery lasts all day. It only comes in 5" and has a 3/32" orbit which for color sanding works perfectly. With cars getting smaller I find myself reaching for my 5" sanders more often than my 6".
Nope sorry, gonna have to strongly disagree. We benchmarked both the dynabrade and Bosch and our Milwaukee sander far exceeded them in ergonomics, overall feature set and user experience as validated by quite a few professional end users. This sander has multiple throws and you can change pads with a tool free changing mechanism which reduces time to change and therefore increases productivity. It is for BOTH the body tech and paint tech(thus the multiple throws) and as such, the pommel is designed to offer the best ergonomics for both those applications as their preferences do differ in how they handle it. You really won’t be able to appreciate the ergonomics and enhanced user experience without actually trying it for yourself!
It's $400 Canadian for a bare tool. Might get one of they go on sale. I have a lot of Milwaukee so I buy bare tools. I have a 3/8 and 5/16 orbit on my sanders. I go for speed.
Beware the smaller M12 batteries will get stuck in the tool. The smaller m12 fits really tight and it doesn’t have any grip when pulling them out of the sander. The reason why this happens is because Milwaukee adder rubber inserts inside the M12 housing to reduce vibration. I had to pry my smaller M12 battery out with a flat head. Overall it works perfectly, I only use the larger M12 battery because it has more surface to grip on when removing the battery. If this issue was addressed by Milwaukee it would be great.
Still bosch gex 18-125 and gex 12-125 in my opinion works way better ,is smaller , have more efficient mechanism , and almost perfect integrated dust collection YES INTEGRATED it have designed turbine to suck the dust and throw it into detachable dust bag , without need of a vacuum in 95% of the time (it works sooo good that some sanders with vacuum connected have worse dust collection than this bosch model (12 and 18v))
