i live in the U.S. and none of these ride on brush cutters are available here. but here's a question: why doesn't this machine have an actual ROPS bar on it to protect the operator in the event of a roll-over? i don't even know why that small bar behind the driver is even there as it is too short to provide any roll-over protection at all. if i purchased this machine, the very first thing i would do would be to weld on a MUCH higher foldable roll bar.
I would love to purchase something like this! Can't find anything like it in the US. Even if I could manage to get one, finding parts would be impossible.
One more question please 😁 . Which one would you choose: meccanica benassi fox 110 4wd , raccoon or yak 1040 4wd xl ? It would be a great video comparison if you had the ability to do it . Are meccanica benassi and yak good brands?
In one respect yes, the flail would be good on the front, couple reasons why it’s not. 1. The drive train from a rear engine to a front deck looses power and would take a series of belts to achieve causing more issues and wear. 2. When using on steep ground and sharp slopes the flail would dig in to the ground when entering and exiting slopes Claus of the mower to get stuck.
This is a £20k+ bit of kit with a limited function. You would need to have plenty of land with rough ground and slopes etc to justify this You could get a 25hp-ish compact tractor and flail mower for less than this. In addition you wouldn't be sitting getting all of the brush in your face
Mainly aimed at contractors where they have to trailer around machines, as easier to move than a tractor. And large estates on steep slopes where tractors just aren’t as save. but I get your point 👍🏼

You guys get all the cool toys!
Cool toys for cool boys 😂😂
Ride on flail, I like it! Fly through heavy stuff with no worry about belts.
Best rough cutter I’ve had the pleasure to use !!
Hi Josh Very Nice I've got the ideal job for that 😀Thanks again
I like the racoon. I think I would look good in a Machinery Nation T Shirt.
Wow we need one of these to clear our vacant allotments and get people on them. Stella I think Stella is great
A four - wheeler on steroids and it cuts 💩 down c'mon only thing missing is the cannon 💣 😆 nice one Josh 👍
I have no idea why I love your videos so much. Keep up the great work! Total love!
I want one of these Racoons... but you got rid of all the blackberries!!! 🤣🤣
I’m so jealous you guys get to try these new vehicles
Love it! Crikey trevor that is a beast
I am genuinely impressed with the finish it left.
Thats a well thought out piece of kit-makes the old back braking Etesia Atila look like something from the stone age!
I hadn't checked for a while But I won The T-Shirt Thanks Guys
Great machine, I would like to try one here in the USA
We have something better. Ventrac with front mount flail mower
@@raymondgriffith6532
That is a very nice setup
Absolute beast of a mower 😎 and one of the best engines out there love the Vanguards 😊
I'm going to try to convince my boss we need to get one 😊

Same here. Seems we have orec only and they’re not a flail.
I want one👌
We wanted to keep it. It got collected today 😭
What a cool machine 👍👍
I want one! Too bad it isn't available in my part of the world.
That going on my wish list 🤯
Yes! Keep watching more to add to that list later today 👍🏼
Looks like the AS 1040 YAK 4WD.
Perhaps we should do a video on one 😉
I sort of like the name 😹
Would love to have that could do alot of work with that
i guess if aint in the mood of paying 35k for the Ventrac you can pay 23.5k for this one
A well engineered machine. Where is it manufactured?
German engineered and manufactured machine 👍🏼
I like the older model which is a copy to AGria
Amazing Vid! Question: Will you be at GroundsFest?
Thank you, yes James and Josh will be there filming, please come and say hello 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation Shall do 👍👍

was that lawn cut with the hammers?
hammers, flails are a serial feature of Racoon Standard version
Ok, how much does this machine cost as featured? Ty
Man that an animal
I wonder how a ventrac would compare
We reviewed the Ventrac earlier in the year, and cut the same bank as we did in this one 👍🏼
@@MachineryNationall us Americans want this available. Why not expand in the US or offer shipping for us?
Does it have power steering?
Umm isn’t it better to have the flail front mounted?
I totally agree with you on this comment 👌👍

@@MachineryNation i understand now James 👍👍
I bet you have 3000 tics on you after a day on that one. 😂
Meccanica Benassi italia?
Can this be used in a mowing business instead of using a zero turn mower?
No reason why not, a zero turn would be quicker on larger areas of short grass but this would be more versatile 👍🏼
Needs more ground clearance
How do you figure?
Weapon!
28 yrs and its not a kawi engine in the back i wouldnt buy it without a kawi

ARE THEY AVAILABLE IN QLD AUSTRALIA.
It does look well made, but i think the front end will get damaged with heavy brush, thats why agree with @JamesBond-wy6sd
