Having first visited this location back in 2018 as one of our very first explores we decided to return, knowing that demolition had now begun we wanted to take one final look before it was all gone..
Unfortunately our explore was cut short this time due to the increased security now on site but with a combination of new and past footage we feel we've managed to capture a nice video log of the place before it's all lost forever.
Feel free to take a look back at our previous videos from 2018.. as you can see we've come along way since then! Please excuse the dodgy music, 😂

Stayed here as a kid in the late 80’s with my mum, dad and siblings....sadly my dad’s no longer here but it bought back a lot of happy memories even though its in a state now....thanks guys....

Thank you, it’s brought it all back, the Noddy train, the disco club, the swimming pool and the donkey derby. So sad to see it in such disrepair now.
Love this place, me wife and kids were one of the last family's to go there at the Halloween party weekend 2008 and it never re-opened :(
It's a shame about the place... I uesd to go there with my family and it brings it all back actually visited the chalet we stayed and it was sad 😕 hope your keeping safe 👍
My mother used to work here and I got a job there too it was a great place. Sad to see it like this 😔
It was we tried to do the video justice but hard to do that with what's it's like there 😞
In all fairness this place was on WatchDog in the end as the place was an absolute death trap, kids getting electrocuted touching lamp posts as they weren't grounded properly. The incompetence of Pontins it was for the best it was closed before some poor soul was killed.
It was such a shame we went there as kids and It was a good place but you are right best thing to do 😔
@@ExploringWithEmAndStu It is a shame, I think holiday camps could make a bit of a comeback in this day and age. Always watch the movie Holiday on the Buses and sad that's a memory I wasn't around for :(

Hi Larry yes I've seen them demolishing it as we have holiday chalets in Hemsby and have been a couple of times this week.. shame but it was an awful mess for the local residents so good for them to get something new in its place I guess 👍

I took my children here 30 years ago. I also went to Pontins most years as a child and it was horrible seeing Pontins gradually going downhill year on year. Such a shame but great memories.
Yes we have great memories to... Unfortunately most pontins are getting worse all the time won't be long till there as ll gone 😕
It reminds me football club owners in the 1950s & 1960s. Massive public participation and huge revenue spent by the owners on Rolls Royce cars homes in Bermuda and huge stately homes and no investment in the business. Thinking the people would keep coming and would not notice the decline around them. Bad management. Adapt or die. in all businesses.

Stayed At The Camber Sands Site A Few Years Ago And It Was A Holiday From Hell Em and Stu Pontins At Camber Sands Was A Hell Hope Happy Now It's Closed and Abandoned Like Hemsby So In Fairness I'm Glad To See The Hemsby Pontins Go Would Have Been The Same As Brean In Somerset and Camber Sands Sussex
We've heard the Camber Sands Pontins wasn't great but really only heard positive things about the Hemsby one.. but I guess like you say maybe it would have ended up like the one at Camber Sands in the end.. On the plus side they are turning them into some quite nice homes now 👍

We explorers are history recorders , when those buildings are taken down , then there are at least photos or videos where we can see how those locations looked like.
I miss exploring , I even bought a car to go to explore but I have fear of driving. :(
Driving is not for everyone but you just have to gane confidence... And yes we are history recorders and we get a bad press for it.. Because of the vandalism so sad... Thank you for your comments 😊
Had a wonderful holiday here in 1995 with my family. Special memories but heartwrenching to see it like this. Very haunting.

Yes it's been a very sad site to see for over 10 years now, shame as it had great potential, unfortunately they are now in the middle of demolishing it for a new housing development 😞 Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 👍

If your referring to the one in Southport then it's unlikely we'll get the chance any time soon with it being over 5 hours away from us.. Thankfully this one was only 20 mins up the road from us.. Its so sad to see all these places closing down. Thanks for watching 👍
my mums always wanted to go there as a kid but couldn't afford it i would love to build it back up just for my mum.

Its was very popular back in the day and one of the best Pontins in the country, goodness knows why they choose to close this particular one down as it was always so busy.. of course it's all been turned into houses now so at least its not all gone to waste..
Spent many happy holidays here when the children were small, so sad to see how it looks now.

Pontins camp should been given to Norfolk county council too house illegal immigrant or homeless in thee area, instead it will be brought up by some property developer to turn into second home for stinking rich from London and south east.

Yeah it was a shame they decided to close this one being one of the better Parks in its day.. now all being turned into houses with some of the chalets converted, they're actually doing quite a nice job 👍
Sad that it's just sat there like that, they could spruce the rooms up and let the homeless sleep in them or all the Ukrainians 🤷♀️
The whole site is now one big housing development, alot of the old chalets are being modernised and turned into housing which is good at least but it should never have sat empty and abandoned for as long as it did.. Thanks for watching 😊

It sat empty for nearly 10 years before the developers started on it, they were in perfect condition and could easily have housed people, like you say.. such a waste..

Went there in 1983 with my cousins. Such a great week we had and seeing all these holiday camps on RUclips - the ones on The Isle of Wight, usually Puckpool and St Clare - is so sad, I’m almost moved to tears seeing them like this. It’s haunting, imagining the fun times and entertainment. A memory of my childhood and teenage years that I will never forget.

Its such a shame to see so many of these places once fill with so much joy now left abandoned shells of them former selves, but I guess its a sign of the times 😔 Some of the land will be retained for holiday let's and the swimming pool reinstated so I guess all is not lost.. I remember when my mum took me there and then I asked her if we could go again and she said sorry its not open and I was really annoyed because I loved it !!!

Yes it really is, it was always so busy in its hey day but I guess all good things have to come to an end. It's now being demolished to make way for its next chapter..

Great video, i live in Norwich and remember this site well, me and my mate (rip) would jump the fence most weekends in the summer just to go in the club bar as there was always .security on the main entrance and always asked for name and room number. 1980 ish thanks for the memory :)

I went here as a kid in 1997 and then again in 2006. First time don’t remember very well but remember learning to swim and being able to bring pet cats. My mum bought 2 cats with us for some reason. And then again in 2006 as a teen. I remember one night watching a fight broke out outside the queen Victoria lol. A lot of swearing and shouting.
Yes it was certainly very popular back in the day, I worked there for a little while in the early 2000's and definitely saw a thing or two lol. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

The whole park was bought by developers a few years ago and has since been turned into houses..
Somebody needs to buy it and revamp it bring it back to its old glory’s but better

Omg I love exploring abandoned videos and stuff like that. I come to hemsby every year and stay up the road frrom here. I've never been here cuz I'm 16 but my family have been here when they were younger. We pass it every year. I kinda want sam and Colby and others that I watch to come here

So so many happy memories of this place with BYBA British Youth Band Association. Burgess Hill marching B and G Band and many others when I was with both 18th Chester Scout Band and Ghost Drum and Bugle Corps !!

Nice video. I cannot and will not believe that a decent management couldn't have made these old parks viable.
It does seem a shame when it was always so popular and some of the much worse Pontins around the country are still open.. I believe this week the first residents started moving into the redevelopment where they've converted some of the chalets into houses so at least it hasn't all gone to waste..

I did 2 Summer seasons there 1990/1991 and a Christmas week as well. Met my future wife there and almost drowned in the boating lake! Great memories. I also used to go to the Country & Western nights and other events. Such a shame it was left all those years to be vandalised and burned. I suppose that's progress for you...

Best times of my life at the rockabilly weekenders twice a year in my youth at Hemsby. Now nits across the road taken over by fluffies
We always hear how popular their Rockabilly weekend were, shame its not the same anymore 😔
Very sad to see all these holiday camps disappearing. Spent MANY weeks and long weekends at them thanks to playing darts. They were home to a lot of major tournaments from the 70's until the 90's, and Pontin's at Hemsby was a regular stop, hosting the BDO Mayday Festival every year. We moved there from Denes at Kessingland.
Yes we completely understand it holds great memories for us to 🙂

Seems incredibly sad watching this, it almost represents how the world has become and how the innocence has been taken over by evil and destruction.
I used to holiday here and was really sad to go back and see it like this... But now it's being developed 🙄

They've been developing the site now for around a year, converting some of the old chalets into houses, building new ones and renovation the swimming pool, hopefully it will be an asset to the local area, here's a little look we took not so long ago..

We used to go every year here when it was COuntry Western weeks, my sister, myself, mum and dad. Loved our times spent there. Used to meet up with friends every year, such a shame it has shut. DOes anyone know what they are going to do with the place?

Yes I've heard they've been doing a fair bit of work on there recently to get the site cleared, shame we won't be able to explore it any more but such a relief for the locals as it's been an eyesore and haven for vandals and arsonists for such a long time now. you may be interested in this abandoned house it has been emty for 20-35 years. have not been past there for several years but it may be still abandoned there is a track / legal footparth parst it. so if you are going near eastbridge suffolk check it out. there are alot more abandoned boats and house in suffolk / essex.

Sad to see the place like this so many memories just being destroyed. Instead of spending billions & billions of pounds on that vanity train project HS2, which benefits hardly anyone, why don't the governement bail out places like this that people & families can enjoy. What a shame.
As far as we know pontins just shut it down and it was so run down but I remember my family an I... Going there for holidays so sad to see it this way 😔

When did you guys explore here? When we did in February this year the whole pub, clubhouse, pool table and kitchen area had been burnt down and was completely covered in black with white ash everywhere. Wish I could post the pics here to show you.

I've been alot of places around the world and you may laugh but I f**king LOVE Hemsby and Yarmouth. Went there as a kid and still love it now just as much. Makes you a kid again especially going round the cheap tat shops buying loads of stuff you never need but gotta have it🤣😂 Just found your channel and subbed. We know that park as well as Pontins... Such a shame this had to happen but at least we got it documented before it all goes.... That's why we do this... To keep these places alive in some way.... A little something for history 😊
