This is how to change/replace or fix your door actuator for Lexus IS 200t 250 300 350
I was having the problem with my door locks sometimes locking and sometimes not locking. It would be completely random and was very annoying, the door wouldn't work. I ended up replacing both front door actuators left and right. The same steps will be for the right side. This door actuator actually fits multiple vehicles. (See list Below) This video will be specifically for the 3IS or 3rd Gen Lexus IS models from 2014-2020 (250, 200t, 300, and 350). 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020

Just wanted to say thank you for the tutorial. Watching it a hundred times made me confident to do it. Back doors are a pain but now my son had 4 doors that work and i saved $$$.
You just saved me $900… and it took 20 minutes of my time even with few mistake I did, like not putting the door handle rod in place first… 😂

My 2015 IS 250 right rear door same problem. Looks simple enough except putting the new unit back in the door where you have to make it go into the hook so the door opens and closes. But I am going to try it cause is better than dealership with labor cost which can run about $500 with parts and labor. Excellent.

I did mine today and 1 thing i will add is to make small adjustments to that actuator because my door is a little stiffer when closing and a little harder to open using levers, its not bad at all but i noticed the difference between the other doors and im gonna tear it back open and readjust it tomorrow. Other than that the video really helped.

Great job and thank you for making this video. My driver said dorr on my RC350 has completely quit working and the passengers side is starting to do what the drivers side door started doing a few months ago so I need to replace both. I looked in the description for the link for the F Sport lights, but I don't see it there.
I got the f sport lights from a guy on instagram called Leon carbon fiber. You just message him and he’ll take care of you.

I just bought me a 2017 is 200 .the remote works fine but for some reason the door wont unlock if i try using my hand. You think i might need a new actuator?

You forgot to secure the rod for the outside key to work. I did the same thing you did and mine didnt want to open once closed lol because the little rod for the key was never put back in the correct place and it jammed the actuator.

So I didn’t hear a beep. From some research I’ve found that that is an indicator that something is wrong with the actuator on a door. If no beep was heard one of the doors didn’t lock. Kind of a warning notice Toyota installed on their vehicles. Did you have another actuator bad or did you somehow disable the beep?
I believe this can actually just be turned off in the settings in the car. You can also adjust how/if the lights flash when locked/unlocked
Yea but you want to leave that option alone, because if ur actuators go out, and u dont have that extra lights/beeps going after u lock the car, u wont know ur car is still accessible to others. This is how i found out my driver door wasnt locking, so it was manual lock for a month before i fixed it.

I’m having this exact issue. I’ve replaced my car battery, key fob battery, is there anything else I can check before replacing the actuator? This job seems like a pain lol
