    During the skirmishes where you need to surround the enemy territory you definitely have time to secure about half the map and post up, rather than over extending and spreading yourself too thin. In those skirmishes there isn't really a need to rush across the map. Unless you're speedrunning the mission. Series has been good so far! Keep it up!

    Great series PE, a few pointers as I've noticed in my Italy campaign (almost turn 50)
    1. If you capture the closest town/fuel/munitions area to costal artillery emplacements, you actually are given them to control as well.
    2. In battles it's alot easier I've found to use the units to select them from the icons near the bottom left corner and also group them into a couple numerical hotkeys. You can hold shift down to select individual units on the map or using those icons and then press control and the number to set them to it for the battle (and can add more units later by pushing the number and then select new units and then control and the number again).
    3. At the end of the last skirmish where you didn't see units killed, some skirmishes that objectives are to hold places and not any sort of maintain casualties etc., it doesn't show them post battle.
    4. Since you're trying not to use tactical pause you should try to pay more attention to the notifications on the left for incoming artillery and grenades as you can click on those and it will take you right to where it's going to happen or already happening.
    5. I would recommend having a couple flamethrower engineer squads in every battle as to me, they are super effective at clearing all infantry units (besides the HMG units of course.)

    So when you capture a strategic center over time the other towns in that area will surrender. You can see that with potenza how all the other towns in its region flipped.
    Edit. the strategic centers are the ones with flags

    I know you already purchased the bazooka team for your special forces company but taking the upgrade that reduces the cost of the commando call in is very good as they are able to switch between LMGs and bazookas so they are much better against a wide variety of targets unlike the bazooka team that is pretty useless against infantry.

    On ports you can upgrade them to get more manpower every 3 turns, same as towns with munitions and fuel points. IMO a must upgrade when those ports/towns are captured

    Turning out to be a fun playthrough!
    (even with the units getting stuck on exiting the buildings... the aggravation was palpable!)
    Have you tried the engineers ability to build machine gun nests? Seems like it would be good for those 'take and hold' objectives.
    Curious on the pop cap issue. It seems that your companies have more pop cap in skirmish mode, or am I just imagining things?
    Keep up the pressure on those Germans!

    At 24:16 you accidently destroyed the bridge. At the end of video you said you were concerned about destroying the bridge, is it back intact? Could be one of the many unfortunate bugs. I do not think your moving slowly and I am really glad your not auto resolving the battles. Keeping company's at full health seems to help with battles alot and only cost manpower. I am turn 16 and not as much of map uncovered but have nice skills on my squads. Keep up awesome content!!!!

    Great run tonight man. It’s a shame about the AT in the last mission being so slow / out of place he would have been handy again those machine gun tanks.
    Definitely need to invest in a new scout plane when you get the cap for one. And I think adding a detachment to the Spec Ops is a good call, they will be on their own for a while now.

    The bell tower would have been a great spot for the sniper. If it is like the last COH the bell tower is separate from the building its attached to.

    quite eventful episode. really loved it. the pathfinding for troops that are leaving the garrisoned buildings sucks though. also, it seems that AI has wrong priorities for missions where you have to hold victory points for X amount of time. looks like, their priority is killing your troops (so the classic point-based skirmish) rather than uncapping the victory points that trigger the count down, to delay your victory. i like the game, but i think devs should do a more extensive testing before the game is released rather than counting on the content creators and players being their "free" beta testers (cause they actually buy the game, while doing the testing -dev's job- at the same time)...

      also, being able to move the squad in potenza while in the action radius of the damaged krauts that were in the city (around 42:17) -i noticed they had a "surrenderd" status (it floated around them during enemy's turn). so i guess surrendered = inactive action radius, allowing you to move within the sphere of the kraut squad's sphere of influence?

    During some battle you said that you are too lax with your defense, i believe its not because you are too lax, its just you are too focus on your commentary with your gameplay and i believe that is what that makes your concentration all over the place and also makes you forget something you gonna do, its been fun watching since the first eps if your italian campaign, its my only way to have fun since i dont have pc to play it XD...

    I think it's a shame you have no idea if there's a difference between the damage done by different bombing actions. Do the ones that more munnition do more damage? Or is it balanced so that the cheaper bombing actions are just better but have different range and such?

    Pretty lame how at the start of battles different people talk over each other. At this day an age programmers cannot resolve this by getting one of them delayed to only speak after the first finished?

    Ok so....this is highest difficulty... and the AI constantly doesnt decap points, and then loses on objectives. Its insane. Ive seen that "surround their base" thing what..3 times now in this playthrough ? And even when they literally forced you to retreat off the field for half the map, they didnt bother capping and then lost.

    The difficulty seems easy mode. I am not sure, but the AI seems doll all the time.

      The damage cost by the enemy is not high compared with what I play with.

    Man... The AI so brain dead sometimes, as proven by that first skirmish. How come even on such a high difficulty the AI doesn't understand how to capture points? That should be, like, the most basic thing in the coding!
