Sensual World is my No1. 'The Fog', the title track and particularly 'Deeper Understanding' are just wonderful. I've always wished she had done more with the Trio Bulgarka, their singing was terrific!
I would've chosen The Sensual World as number one. There's not a weak spot on that album, especially the two stand out songs, both with David Gilmour on guitar, that being Love & Anger and Rocket's Tail. Both are harder rock than what she usually does but totally killer. Totally bombastic and in-your-face songs. I really dig the Bulgarian singers too. JMHO
I agree. The Sensual World is an album that I didn't pay much attention to initially, as I was enamored with the mystique of Hounds of Love and the unapologetic eccentricity of The Dreaming. But I finally payed attention to The Sensual World and it became my favorite album of hers.
@@SuperPhunThyme100 I also didn't pay much attention, and for the exact same reasons. I just pulled out my copy and am listening as I write. I agree with Mr. Maslov though about his selection of his personal numbers one and two. Those, to me, are 'deserted island' material, and I'd also agree that The Dreaming is in my top 50 prog albums of all time.
I have The Dreaming as my top choice, with The Sensual World a close second. Both are in my forever collection; they are absolutely masterful recordings. The Dreaming was so original when it was released it was not a commercial success, as it was a far departure from what her fans had come to expect. However, it was (is) the most meaningful album to me, just as TSW and her other albums are to others. I completely agree with your comment regarding those songs, as well as the Trio Bulgarka and David Gilmore contributions.
Appreciate your level headed and insightful ranking video. I differ in my ranking but that's like ranking the greatest art in the world, we are all going to interpret the work slightly differently and that's fine. Let's see. Kate is a singer, songwriter, composer, musician, dancer, choreographer, producer, director, filmmaker, mother and an amazing human being. I can't really think of another artist who has accomplished what she has in the path she has taken. There will never be another artist like her and we are privileged to have been alive at the same time that she created her work. The older I become, the more I respect Kate's work and output. Each time I listen to her work and watch her videos, new subtleties are revealed, even after dozens and even hundreds of listens, which is a sign of artistic greatness. Most music I get bored with after obsessing over it but with Kate's work, it seems like it's always been a part of my life even though I didn't discover Kate until 1985 with HOL. Her body of work is a journey and an enigmatic puzzle that never fails to fascinate and engage me. Thank you Kate.
Wuthering Heights was my first 7" single purchase aged 11 years old. Loved her then and love her to this day. Incredible artist and a British national treasure. And, yes, the Dreaming is her genius record.
Same here. I love Lionheart, The Kick Inside and The Dreaming. Up until her fourth album I revered her. Then her voice changed and so did the songwriting. Not up to par, the last few albums have lacked any significant sensuality which was her first impressionistic paradigm 😉
@@zaradragonia9863 she went beyond that as it obviously didnt have enough meaning for her incredible songwriting ability. hello earth from the ninth wave story from hounds of love is some of her best work aswell as army dreamers which is one of her only songs she is happy with
The Sensual World is my Number One.Not because it seems more accessible but because it is a beautiful world she made, from surface to dream.I liked your summation.Thanks.
I just gave my vinyl copy of “The Dreaming” a listen because of your passion for the album. I’ve not listened to it for awhile. It’s brilliant and daring - a fantastic album. Kate wasn’t afraid to push herself or her audience.
I have watched this video twice, the reason? It’s just so good and honest. I have been a Kate Bush fan since I first saw her on TV in the 70’s, for me she is the female David Bowie, don’t ever think you know what the next album will sound like. I don’t really have a chart of my favourites, they come and go, but Aerial is pretty much perfection particularly the second disc, I remember listening to the Kick Inside for the first, I had never heard anything like it, so that’s always high in my liking. Thanks again for such a great overview of the great Kate Bush. ⚡️
I bought her first two albums and enjoyed them , but for some reason I never continued on down the road . At the time I was jumping into all kinds of different genres , and I guess I just never got back around to her work . Clearly , I have to correct that misstep . Thank you for steering me back onto that path .
I can’t rank her personally albums as they are all so individual. The Kick Inside has a certain magic about that was captured at that time it as does Lion Heart for example as they all do. If I was to rank them it would all depend what mood I was in. I could not be without any of her albums . Did enjoy your video and understood how you ranked them though. Great stuff.
I love all Kate's albums. And she's the only artist in my experience I can say that about. With a couple of switches we're almost agreed, Norman. You have some beautiful items there. My copies are a combination of original vinyls and CDs but you make me want to renew my whole collection.
I love Kate Bush to death. Most definitely my favorite female artist of all time. This is how I’d rank her studio albums (not counting comps or live albums): 9. The Red Shoes 8. 50 Words for Snow 7. The Sensual World 6. Never for Ever 5. Lionheart 4. The Dreaming 3. The Kick Inside 2. Aerial 1. Hounds of Love
The Hounds Of Love is my favorite Kate album by far. I have my original 1985 🇺🇸 Stamped promo marble vinyl copy with the employee # not scratched out ! I really like the farewell single she gave to EMI " Experiment IV " & enjoyed the elusive track " Be Kind To Mistakes " from the at best mediocre film Castaway with Oliver Reed & the lovely Amanda Donahue. It finally showed up on a CBS EP 3 years after the movie. 👌
You are absolutely correct in this artist deserving more respect. Such a talented artist. I agree with your number one pick, ''The Dreaming''. On my list ''Never For Ever'' and ''Lionheart'' would be higher up. ''Never For Ever'' is pretty solid. ''Lionheart'' is a mixed bag, but still holds treasures like ''Wow''...''Oh England, My Lionheart''...and ''Hammer Horror''.
I enjoyed your ranking video. I bought the first two Kate Bush albums while visiting my cousin in Berlin back in the summer of 1980. I’ve bought every release since and love them all. My favorites (this week anyway) are The Sensual World, Hounds of Love, Aerial, and Lionheart. My wife doesn’t like the same music that I do, but she absolutely loves This Woman’s Work after seeing the movie, She’s Having A Baby.
I really have to get my hands on a copy of that Director's Cut. I first became aware of Kate when Hounds of Love came out and I had to have every album after that. Such an original and daring artist and beautiful too!
Nice video Mazzy - thank you. I remember when Wuthering Heights hit the radio air-waves in the UK and just being astounded!! Gobsmacked indeed. It was a great time of change. The singles chart included artists like ABBA, Blondie, The Bee Gees, ELO and the Clash. Kate Bush arrived sounding like nothing else!
Aerial is a mature beautiful piece. Much like Pink Floyd in their pomp you get lost in the album, you don't know where you are in the journey and that's wonderful
The Australian connection to the The Dreaming is the title track, which relates to the Aborigines and their wonderful "dreamtime" origin stories. Also, the album uses heavily the Fairlight CMI digital synthesiser, invented by a couple of Aussies in their garage in the 1970's. Its use in the 1980's was ubiquitous. It cost a fortune. The first users of the Farilight included Stevie Wonder and Peter Gabriel. Dare I mention Rolf Harris on didgeridoo on the title track.
Always struggled to get into Kate Bush.. appreciate her amazing talent, but always shifted to so many other artists / bands. Will give another listen to , maybe "Red Shoes" first. "The Whole Story is a nice comp.. don't know "Ariel" looks good too. "Hounds Of Love" I have listened to the most.. and The Dreaming" impressed me, only listened once or twice. Again a very comprehensive video !!
I recommend The Sensual World (since u listened to Hounds Of Love & The Dreaming already). The Red Shoes might worsen ur struggle with Kate, considering how people say it’s one of her worse album.
Another great review..great to see someone from the 🇺🇸 appreciate Kate..I went to see Kate at the Hammersmith in 2014 and it was a show that will live with me forever..it was that good!!..the sound, the visuals, everything about the show was stunning..it's just a shame she didn't tour in other countries..Before The Dawn is brilliant..great album review Mazzy thanks👍👍
One of my favourite female artisrs. Genius indeed. Great video as always Mazzy, although i would put Lionheart and Never for ever higherin my list and Aerial in a lower place. Anyway, it' s a matter of personal taste
I really enjoyed this, Mazzy; Kate Bush is one of my favorites. I was also introduced to her through Wuthering Heights, though it was actually Pat Benatar's cover that I heard first around 1980. A pen pal of mine (through Girl Scouts) lived in Australia and told me all about Kate...I ordered the Kick Inside from my record store, fell in love, and was ecstatic when she broke through in the states with Hounds of Love in 1985. Hounds is a great first Kate Bush experience for people who can handle the The Ninth Wave. I end up recommending the Sensual World for my more ermmm delicate/apprehensive friends 🤣 Over the moon while I prefer her albums, The Whole Story is a beautiful compilation and I do love Experiment IV. I'm with you, the original Wuthering Heights vocal is my preference, but the new vocal is also gorgeous 💜🎶
Enjoyed this, thank you - so in January 1978, was going home from school, my bus stop was directly outside the Our Price Record shop on New Oxford Street (a mile up the road form the HMV shop you went to), music blaring out as always...was staring at the shop window, they were heavily pushing 'Abba - The Album' and Ian Drurys 'New Boots and Panties' and then those opening piano chords hit my ears and then, that voice...my life changed...went inside the shop for a better listen, asked the girl at the till who it was, begged her to play it again ( I was a cheeky kid) which she was glad to do...several missed buses later that was it for me...she has been the back drop to my life...in order for me 1- The Kick Inside (Like you, just too personal), 2. The Dreaming, 3. Aerial, 4. The Sensual World, 5. Hounds of Love, 6. Lionheart, 7. 50 Words, 8, The Red Shoes and finally Never for Ever (as great an album, I think over familiarity hasn't helped here and I don't think its aged as well as her other work)...caveat here would be all her albums would be in my top 100, so coming last is far from a demeaning position...thanks for sharing
I've been to her Lion Heart promotion Tour concert in the Carre Theatre in Amsterdam. I'll never forget it. Get the goosebumbs when I think of it. My list is: 1- The Kick Inside, 2 - Lion Heart, 3- Aerial.
I was born in March 1978, so I've a connection with Wuthering Heights. Love her total back catalogue. It's difficult to choose a favourite album. I'd probably say Aerial, followed closely by The Dreaming, then The Sensual World being a close 3rd. I love the Irish influence she has put into her albums, she really understands the passion of traditional Irish music, how it can elevate your emotions. I saw the 2014 show in London, being in the same room as Kate, seeing her for real just a few metres away, it was amazing🤩 One of the greatest concerts I've ever attended👏👏👏
Hi Mazzy, thanks for doing this Kate Bush album ranking. I've been a fan since day one. She was big in Australia, even appearing on Countdown in 1979 performing "Hammer Horror". My #1 Is her debut LP "The Kick Inside", while "Lionheart" could in some ways be seen as a part 2 of the debut LP. Her music became more experimental, maybe not as 'popularly accessible' as her initial efforts and as time wore on her releases became less frequent, sometimes with a 2 year gap between records. I own her first 5 on LP and the CD boxed set which gave me "The Sensual World" which I should listen to again. As you said, at the behest of Dave Gilmour, EMI signed her, gave her an advance at age 15-16 and told her to go away, write songs and come back in 2 years. "Them Heavy People" on her debut acknowledges those people who were 'rolliing the ball' for her. You might be aware that in 1978 SHE came up with the idea of the technology for her tour that now allows artists such as Madonna, P!nk, Shakira, JLo, Beyonce et al, the freedom to perform the level of show that they do now. I own a 1 hour pre-recorded VHS called "On Stage" from one of those shows and accompanying 7 & 12" EP's. Kate was the first. The tour took a toll on her physically & personally, with the tragic loss of a roadie in an accident, during it. That's why there was only one tour. She has control over her destiny and her music. However 'pop fame' didn't ever sit well with her especially, in her heyday. Kate was brave enough to walk away from the spotlight for a very long time for motherhood and other things, until the release "Aerial". Then she retreated again. I was in London in 2014 when I heard that she was performing live again but, sadly for me, later that year. Kate IS an amazingly unique talent. Thank you Norman for acknowledging her. Sorry if I got long-winded. Cheers mate.
Isn't it interesting how a Marantz high end cd player almost gets you to the original record sound. I find that such a godsend when deciding whether to buy a record or not.
can't argue with the Dreaming. it's a wonderful, adventurous record with so many high points. I actually appreciate Aerial more than Hounds of Love, personally. I think the former has a more gorgeous acoustic flavor where Hounds is more Fairlight-driven. I also have a lot of appreciation for the 1st 3 records. my least fav is Red Shoes-I think Kate is up there with Joni Mitchell in how fiercely idiosyncratic her musical vision is, and Red Shoes is too many collaborators and not enough of Kate's unique style. but no matter what, I think Kate Bush is a pop genius who deserves every bit of critical praise she's ever received. in a way, she's too good for Rock & Roll of Fame recognition.
Hi Mazzy ! Angel from France. I agree with you : 'The Dreaming' was, in a certain kind, the stepping stone of 'Hounds Of Love' and I understand your choice, surely for this reason. This was also the first time that Kate used the Fairlight CMI computer/keyboard (like his friend Peter Gabriel at the same time). The 80's - like the 70's - was a fuc....decade of creation ! But to me, Hounds Of Love (especially side B of the LP) has my favour. And I have lost count of the number of times I have listened to this album. PS : Congratulation for your videos ! Take care.
My first exposure to Kate was "Running Up that Hill" in 1985. She didn't get a lot of airplay in upstate NY and VT. Luckily, I could get CHOM FM out of Montreal, and they played her constantly. :)
Hi Mazzy, i am totally with you with your Number One and Number Two. I got into Kate Bush when "The Dreaming" was realeased. I also had the privilege to see one of her "Before The Dawn"-Shows in 2014. It was the best music-Show/concert that i ever attended.
I love viewing your rankings, especially this Kate Bush video. While I get back into vinyl it is a reminder of all the albums I fell in love with over the years. Of course I had all the Kate Bush albums up until Hounds of Love including the Singles File. Such a great artist and I also rank The Dreaming as number one.
You make a good observation in that Kate Bush got better about the consistancy or capturing a theme as she has gone along..perhaps the greatest strength of Aerial and 50 words For Snow.
Hi Mazzy, I love Kate Bush ! Such an amazing voice, and dance skills ! The first time I heard Wuthering Heights" was Pat Bennatar's version..then I looked up Kate's original version and had a "Girl Crush" on this unusual woman. As a Literary Geek, I read Wuthering Heights as a young girl and fell in love with the dark, Gypsy, "Heathcliff", and I wanted to be "Cathy". The movie with Merle Oberon, and Lawrence Oliver is a true work of Art ! The Heather on the Crag..the ghosts calling to each other....Just so beautiful, and ethereal. It's so refreshing to hear your joy of something so special to me ! You're really something Mazzy ! Happiness, Cindy
Great video! I was very late getting into Kate, I got into “hounds of love” in 2014 then when the reissues came out I decided to Listen to everything and have since bought most on cd then every album on vinyl and even have a beautiful signed lyric book from her… Here’s my ranking for these: 1. Hounds of Love 2. Aerial 3. Directors Cut 4. Sensual World 5. The Red Shoes 6. The Dreaming 7. 50 words for snow 8. The Kick Inside 9. Never Forever 10. Lionheart
Great video Mazzy. Thank you. Kate's one of my trio of 'top shelf' female artists: Diamanda Galas and Maria Callas are the other two. I can't rate Kate's albums the way you have done; they're all as good as each other!!! Seriously, though, The Dreaming is a gem. She was a brave girl to go her own way, and to take artistic control from EMI - not many artists have ever done that. Cheers and best wishes from Australia. John D. PS: hall of fame?......pffffft. Those that know, do know: that's all that matters 😊
Good review! I got into her in the 90's! The top picks for me and to introduce a novice first, which is not counted is the Whole Story for sure, which totally got me to worship her with my $$! The First is The Dreaming Hounds of Love Sensual World Red Shoes The Runner up is Never for Ever The rest is rough start up and later artsy doodlings for the most part.. The Main 4 that I listed is Awesome Prog! The Dreaming Almost gets psychdelic!! I Love this Album!! Do not get me wrong, ALL of her stuff is Awesome and worth listening to! She is a Beautiful and a Genious musician!
Always love your videos. No matter how hard I tried I could not get into her musical talents. I always remember using babushka as a ladies scarf more than a grandmother :)
Nice ranking Mazzy. I'm trying to complete her discography but it's slow going. My list would be somewhat similar to yours with two or three adjustments. The Before The Dawn box is a big want. I wanted it before but then you showed it in the prog rock vinyl tag and that made me want it even more. Your story about getting to London and hearing Wuthering Heights for the first thing you heard over there was great. I loved seeing your original single. Well done keeping that sleeve in that nice of shape all of these years. It didn't look it had any creasing at all.
Thanks for a great video and I had that same Wuthering Heights single! My ranking would be similar except Never Forever would be a lot higher (#2!) and Hounds #1 - because of the mind blowing Fairlight and the 2nd side. I must say I don’t really like that purple vinyl remaster of Hounds - it doesn’t give me goosebumps like the first pressing, the Simply Vinyl pressing and the EMI100 edition. Seems to lack something emotional despite sounding perfect.
Kate Bush is my favorite female artist and one of my favorite artists ever! for my number 1 i would also say Th dreaming and Hounds of love i can't pick between the 2. i really would love to have all her stuff on vinyl which i'm getting soon. i'm missing The Red Shoes. Ariel, 50 words of Snow, Directors Cut and The Whole Story.
The first time I heard Kate Bush , I thought it sounded so weird but it stuck in my brain. In very short order I was hooked. It was a whole smorgasbord of warmth and texture. I am so glad I didn't dismiss it just because it sounded so different.
Saw K B's first ever concert in Liverpool Norman. BTW are you in Liverpool for the world Bowie convention next year? Buy you a couple of pints if I see you.
I was introduced to Kate bush the first time in the early eighties by my brother who gave me a tape of “ the dreaming” . I still remember listening to that masterpiece the first time and I don’t think any female or even male artist has surpassed its innovation and melodic brilliance!
1. The Dreaming 2. Hounds Of Love 3. Aerial 4. The Sensual World 5. The Red Shoes 6. 50 Words For Snow 7. The Kick Inside 8. Never For Ever 9. Director's Cut 10. Lionheart
It was said in one of the music papers in the uk that Kate Bush's cover of Elton John's Rocket Man was the best cover song ever I would say it came's close but so does a few others
Kate, majestic, unique, inventive and beautiful! Amazing artist that none will ever surpass in creativity! Massy, I agree my #1 is "'The Dreaming" the most difficult for the uninitiated to experience but over time is amazingly artistic work of all time!
My mind is blow🤯n ... My favorite artist & 🎨 friend Chris Taylor painted some fan art of Kate Bush... and it's actually on her Facebook page! 🥳✌💗👏💯☯️🌈🎶
I found it hypocrisy that when Kate bush re released her albums she had to make all those changes. You don't fuck with art I'm so glad I also have the box set.
I am a huge KB fan but Director's Cut is awful. A rare, self-indulgent misstep for Kate. George Lucas has already proven that noodling around with classic pieces of art ad infinitum decades after they were first created becomes an exercise in futility. I can't even listen to that album because it "messes up" my favorite songs. The Sensual World - One of her best songs ever recorded. Flower of the Mountain, the remake, is terrible. Just because she finally got the James Joyce estate's permission to use some of Joyce's words from Ulysses. The lyrics Kate wrote because she couldn't get the Joyce estate's permission to use his words work so much better.
Good evening. Do you can tell about people whose first tallk about Kate Bush in your life and do you can tell something about who love Kate Bush....Irena and Ma
Maybe KT was never a big seller in the US because her record company wouldn't release her first several LPs here; she had a ready and willing audience but we had to go look for import LPs to get them. Some of the ones I found were Canadian, which boggles the mind, because why would an artist sell in Canada but not in the US? Turns out it was the same record company that wouldn't release the Beatles or The Move in the US at first either. Eventually they were forced to. Our radio station got a white vinyl copy of Hounds. Tragically somebody stole it. My No. 1 will always be The Dreaming, fully agree with that. Forty years on it's still ahead of its time.
Kate Bush is such a legend…..unique in every way.
Sensual World is my No1. 'The Fog', the title track and particularly 'Deeper Understanding' are just wonderful. I've always wished she had done more with the Trio Bulgarka, their singing was terrific!

Mazzy I absolutely agree with your top 3.
I am so pleased that you also rank Aerials so high..... definitely also a masterpiece 👌
It is great. 🤠
This video makes me so, so happy! Love Kate! And flew from NH to London for one of her Before the Dawn shows.
Cool you saw one of those shows 🌸
Think lionheart is a criminaly underrated album. Every time i listen to "wow" the intro still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
I end up recommending the Sensual World for my more ermmm delicate/apprehensive friends 🤣
Over the moon while I prefer her albums, The Whole Story is a beautiful compilation and I do love Experiment IV. I'm with you, the original Wuthering Heights vocal is my preference, but the new vocal is also gorgeous 💜🎶
My 2 favourites are 1 Hounds 2. Dreaming.
Thank you Mazzy. Kate Bush is the greatest.
Agree that The Dreaming is her best album. Best played loud to hear all the intricacies. Turn it up until the walls themselves vibrate.
I've been to her Lion Heart promotion Tour concert in the Carre Theatre in Amsterdam. I'll never forget it. Get the goosebumbs when I think of it. My list is:
1- The Kick Inside, 2 - Lion Heart, 3- Aerial.
I really wanted to see one of those shows
1. Aerial
2. The Dreaming
3. Hounds Of Love
4. Sensual world
5. 50 Words
Live hearing personal and historical stories like this 🌸
@@mazzysmusic cheers 👍😊
Love this review and sweet words on this great artist !
Isn't it interesting how a Marantz high end cd player almost gets you to the original record sound.
I find that such a godsend when deciding whether to buy a record or not.
Interesting. I have an Oppo which is fantastic. But usually doesn’t best a record for me.
@@mazzysmusic the sound is flat but very interesting.
But on decent headphones it totally comes alive.
can't argue with the Dreaming. it's a wonderful, adventurous record with so many high points.
Thanks for this, Mazzy….
Always heard you speak very highly of Kate Bush, but didn’t know where to start.
Now I do…
Gracias 🙏
Take care.
I love the Dreaming too! So nice to see your love for it
Thanks for the video. I've watched it several times now. Very good. I'm interested to hear what some (or all) of your 50 favorite albums actually are.
My first exposure to Kate was "Running Up that Hill" in 1985. She didn't get a lot of airplay in upstate NY and VT. Luckily, I could get CHOM FM out of Montreal, and they played her constantly. :)
Very good sir. I can see your love for Kate. I think Kate is our Joni, although they are quite different.
Hi Mazzy, i am totally with you with your Number One and Number Two. I got into Kate Bush when "The Dreaming" was realeased. I also had the privilege to see one of her "Before The Dawn"-Shows in 2014. It was the best music-Show/concert that i ever attended.
Great you saw that show
I love viewing your rankings, especially this Kate Bush video.
I was very late getting into Kate, I got into “hounds of love” in 2014 then when the reissues came out I decided to Listen to everything and have since bought most on cd then every album on vinyl and even have a beautiful signed lyric book from her… Here’s my ranking for these:
1. Hounds of Love
2. Aerial
3. Directors Cut
4. Sensual World
5. The Red Shoes
6. The Dreaming
7. 50 words for snow
8. The Kick Inside
9. Never Forever
Kick inside is my fav by far.
Good review! I got into her in the 90's!
The top picks for me and to introduce a novice first, which is not counted is the Whole Story for sure, which totally got me to worship her with my $$! The First is
The Dreaming
Hounds of Love
Sensual World
Red Shoes
The
Runner up is
Never for Ever
The rest is rough start up and later artsy doodlings for the most part..
The Main 4 that I listed is Awesome Prog! The Dreaming Almost gets psychdelic!! I Love this Album!!
Do not get me wrong, ALL of her stuff is Awesome and worth listening to!
She is a Beautiful and a Genious musician!
Just got my copy of The Dreaming...its got so many layers..thanks Mazzy! Wouldn't have come across it without the review..cheers
Always love your videos. No matter how hard I tried I could not get into her musical talents. I always remember using babushka as a ladies scarf more than a grandmother :)
Fair enough. Not everyone is gonna love everything. There are artists I just don’t get as well 😎
Nice ranking Mazzy.
The Dreaming is my favorite album of all time.
Very much enjoyed this. I love Kate Bush.
Appreciate your recommendations. Her England My Lionheart is a favorite. Much Thanks.
I was introduced to Kate bush the first time in the early eighties by my brother who gave me a tape of “ the dreaming” . I still remember listening to that masterpiece the first time and I don’t think any female or even male artist has surpassed its innovation and melodic brilliance!
Yes it is such a wonderful album 🌸
1. The Dreaming
2. Hounds Of Love
3. Aerial
4. The Sensual World
5. The Red Shoes
6. 50 Words For Snow
7. The Kick Inside
8. Never For Ever
9. Director's Cut
10. Lionheart
It was said in one of the music papers in the uk that Kate Bush's cover of Elton John's Rocket Man was the best cover song ever I would say it came's close but so does a few others
One of pop culture's greatest geniuses by far. To me, there is nothing better than Ninth Wave from hounds of love.
Kate, majestic, unique, inventive and beautiful! Amazing artist that none will ever surpass in creativity! Massy, I agree my #1 is "'The Dreaming" the most difficult for the uninitiated to experience but over time is amazingly artistic work of all time!
Moments of Pleasure is maybe kates most beautiful song, it destroys me every time
Great video/review! Thanks!
I like The Kick Inside the best, may even be in my top ten albums of all time. BTW, it came out before I was born.
1.The hounds of love
2.The kick inside
3.The sensual World
4.Never for ever
5.The Dreaming
6.Lionheart
7.Aerial
8.The Red Shoes
9.50 words for snow
Good ranking ❣️
My mind is blow🤯n ... My favorite artist & 🎨 friend Chris Taylor painted some fan art of Kate Bush... and it's actually on her Facebook page! 🥳✌💗👏💯☯️🌈🎶
Interesting that you have 2 different album covers for The Kick Inside but mine here in Canada is a completely different one.
Kate Bush is my favourite female artist , a shame she never received the much-deserved acclaim in the States !
aerial is her masterpiece...
Aerial would be my number one, The Kick Inside and Never For Ever would be two and three.
Never For Ever would be my number 3 but they are all wonderful.
I agree. The Dreaming is the best. I would say The Kick Inside would be second, then the Hounds.
Kate Bush is everything
Ian bairnson's great outro solo r.i.p
That's nearly identical to my list ... The Dreaming is also my favorite.
I found it hypocrisy that when Kate bush re released her albums she had to make all those changes.
You don't fuck with art
I'm so glad I also have the box set.
I've always loved how jarring and musically experimental The Dreaming is. It's my favorite too.
Good evening. Do you can tell about people whose first tallk about Kate Bush in your life and do you can tell something about who love Kate Bush....Irena and Ma
You should do a Morrissey top 10 albums, that’s if you have anything by Morrissey?
Very good , you know your Kate.
You should do a video on your audio equipment
Great video Mazzy
The Dreaming is the best by far
I've watched all of your videos - I think. And two words you have never mentioned (and it's a real shame): Graham Parker
I actuality mentioned the Pink Parker 45 awhile back. 😎
She was one tall cool glass of water to boot!
Broke my hip 7/8, just got out of the hospital. I got some catching up to do.
Mon album préféré est The Kick Inside 💪💪💪🇸🇳🇸🇳🇸🇳
