Some guys have all the puck. For a guy like Keith Primeau it took years, games, and minutes (152 of them on 5.4.00 to be almost exact), in order to be a Flyer. All Cam needed to do was watch his kids "not" cry when Gritty's mug got within 4 feet. Thats all I needed to see. I'm good... Welcome to the family....
The flyers did a great job in the off-season. I still believe they need more offensive talent to go deep in the playoffs, but we’ll see how these young players develop, and if they can fill that void
They definitely have guys who can generate offence on the backend like Ryan Ellis and Ristolainen. Flyers style of play looked pretty "cookie cutter" while being bailed out by overachieving net minding last 2 seasons so that's bound to change.
I like that Risto is flying under the radar in Philly. Think he’s gonna be one of those players that fans are skeptical about at first but then turns out to be a fan favorite. I’m excited to see him play
I believe Risto was bearing too much pressure on the back end since he was drafted by Buffalo. They changed coaches & schemes too often, and it just seems like too much chaos in that organization. AV and the players the Flyers have should help make Risto become the player he was projected to be back in 2013. Barring injuries this Flyers team could be the most solid since 2010-11 season.
