I use to be afraid of tofu until one day I just went for it and now I use it for everything from tofu scramble to vegan ricotta cheese to plant based cheesecake and not one of my non-vegan family ever complains about my cooking or my baking and a matter of fact they choose that over the regular food that they eat!

    • @maremacd

I am still afraid of tofu! If I used the firm type, I would press it before adding the sauce and baking it, correct?

I agree that you'd be PERFECT for a PBS Whole-Foods Plant-Based Cooking Show. I used to watch the Jazzy Vegetarian, and nothing against her, but she acts so corny all the time. It takes away from it somehow. I love your calm nature and way of explaining things. Your voice is soothing, and you make a great teacher. I'll have to give this a try. I'm not a fan of tofu, and I keep trying different recipes, hoping to find "the" one. Ha Ha, this might be it.

I tried this recipe but found the sauce a bit bland. If I make it again I'll add more ginger, miso & garlic. And, the sauce was very thin, I thickened it with corn starch.

Hi Jill this sounds delicious I never had tofu for some reason it scares me but you know what I may give this a try,I would like to ask something if I may, l noticed when you bake you never use whole meal flour is it because it's not part of the whole plant food plant based diet? I can tolerate wheat flour but I follow your recipes and do as the recipe request. Ohh by the way you look gorgeous in that 👗 the colour really suits you.

Fantastic recipe! I love your style of presentation. Informative and interesting to watch! I have a weird question. Do you get food all over your camera/or phone when you film. I make cooking videos too and I’m always getting food all over my phone. Any tips from one cooking creator to another? I’d love to learn from each other.

My hubby is the camera guy ❤️. He doesn’t really get that close to the food with the camera. I think he uses a zoom setting for the closer shots. Most people ask us to get even closer shots but like you said, it can be hazardous for the cameras. Good luck with your filming 👍😊

Hi @PlntRun43 The miso paste addition is at 1:25-ish, when she makes the sauce. 🌹 On other comments, she says different colors of miso are ok. I even use a chickpea miso. For me, miso adds to the depth of flavor. 🌼
