@The Cyber Nerds, you got to think that perhaps Vader's story (how he turned from Anakin to Vader) was meant to happen the way that it did - when you talk about Windu and Yoda contributing to Anakin's turn. Anakin has always been extremely emotional, and I think even Dooku called him out on it saying that his anger gives him real focus. So, to truly become the prophecy of being "the one that would bring BALANCE to the force", he needed to tap into his emotions anger/fear (and ultimately the dark side) to become as powerful as he did and live up to that prophecy (because BALANCE requires some sort of evenness on both sides, in this case, light and dark). Since he TECHNICALLY reached the rank of master, he had done most of what he could've on the light side (except becoming grandmaster), but reached a point where he had to learn from the dark side (doing messed up things like killing younglings/other jedi's etc) for the sake of saving Padme, but also move into the next stage of his path to fulfilling the prophecy. Perhaps in doing the "nasty business" as Vader, it fueled his anger even more to grant him more power, enough earn Palpatine's trust and to take him out. However, to come full circle about Windu and Yoda, regardless of how powerful they were, and how much they invested in Anakin, they maybe didn't have the foresight to know how Anakin/Vader would fulfil his destiny. Though I'm sure they sensed a lot of darkness to come (which may have been necessary before peace could be restored), which is probably why they didn't fully trust him. OR (and this is unlikely but would make a crazy theory, if it's not out there already). MAYBE THEY KNEW how Anakin's destiny would pan out but played the full to keep one step ahead of Palpatine (allowing Palpatine to think he had the upper-hand/"high ground"). Ask yourself, why they would choose Anakin to "spy" on Palpatine, if they didn't really trust either one of them? I don't know... P.S. Don't care what any man/woman says, but Palpatine died in "Return of the Jedi" at the hands of Vader. They just brought him back in the Disney films because they were losing fans. Stay safe brodaz
