Thanks for your help! I replaced mine today, only thing I did different was remove the old radiator with the cooling fans still attached, and installed new radiator with fans attached.
The way it flew through 7:53 - 8:11 really set my amateur self back. I had a hard time getting fan back onto slots while keeping in proper placement with the new radiator. Other than that flawless instructions. Thank you so much for your vids, they really save a broke single mama some guap!
I seriously thought this was going to take like and hour or two!! This seems pretty simple though. I'm going to have to do this in a little bit because my radiator is cracked at the top. Took me about an hour and a half but I got it replaced and no more overheating! Thanks!
I did this slightly differently and disconnected the coolant and ATF hoses from the engine side instead of from the radiator. I removed the fan wiring as shown, but did not remove the fan assembly from the radiator. I removed the radiator and fan assembly from the car as one piece and could then work on transferring the fan assembly and hoses from the old to the new radiator without obstruction. Just do one hose at a time so that you remember their placement and orientation. Mechanics must have lifts in order to do much of their work and thus they often assume that owners can work under their car, but even with jacks it's difficult to get under such low cars, so I left the air dam in place and did not need to do anything under the car except to open the drain plug on the old radiator and slide a catch pan underneath. I covered the bibs coming from the transmission with self-made hoses that had their ends folder over and zip-tied back to themselves to create an effective seal. Only the passenger-side bib actually seemed to have fluid coming out, but the cover stopped it from leaking and I lost no measurable amount of fluid. The built-in transmission oil cooler adds complexity to the job as I did not realize it was there until unboxing the new radiator, but it was not difficult to deal with provided that you are ready to attach the hose ends upward where fluid cannot come out or to block the bibs on which side you decide to detach the hoses from.
Hi guys. I have a 2006 Nissan Altima. Wanted to replace upper and lower hoses, your video was the closest to my year model I could find. Looks like on the 2006 2.5L they have recessed the radiator connections for the upper. It's now a two hose system, and the short hose that goes from the fill/cap assembly is a bear to get to. This job looks like it is going to be a pain in the rear for any do-it-yourselfer. Great Job Nissan!!!
It's very helpful for me to replace radiator of my Altima 2001. This is big saving as quote from my local shop asking for ~$500 for a replacement. :) You guys are awesome. Thank you very much for the awesome video! :)
BTW, I made a mistake that I didn't realize that the two small hoses at the bottom are transmission hoses. I ended up had extra hassle to refill transmission fluid at the end, as I drained them into a separate pan without hanging them high from draining when detached them from radiator. Just a note to viewers that you should do the same as the video did by hanging the two small hoses high to prevent the transmission fluid draining.

you should check the oil level of the automatic transmission for changing the radiator ? Would have to refill the radiator transmission oil ?Thanks Great video
What do I need to do in order to remove the radiator WITH the fans attached? I feel that would be easier to do. Regardless awesome tutorial video you guys rock! Thanks!
+Sh1ftyClutch Thanks for watching! You can try to remove it with the fans attached, you just completely disconnect the wiring harnesses. It might be more difficult to pull everything out at once, so we recommend following the steps shown in the video!
+Roger Smith Thanks for watching! Unfortunately we do not have the specs on those clips. If you have one that is in tact, take it to the parts store and match it up. There should be a selection of retaining clips in one of the aisles! 1aauto.com
What's in front of the radiator? My radiator is still good but the metal underneath it is rotting out. I'm gonna have to take all of that out and bend some metal to put in there
Question probably a stupid one, but the radiator I bought came with the 2 little tubes with bolts that are for the 2 lower hoses they won’t screw on right like they should and one of them looks stripped and I’m figuring yes this is a problem, do I now have to buy another radiator I rigged it a little but the one looks like it can fall and then my transmission fluid will be all over, I’m extremely pissed and don’t know what to do, someone help can I rigged this without a problem?
+毛少华 We currently do not have an auto repair video specific to your vehicle. You might be able to apply some of the basic steps shown in this video to your application. Here is a link to the repair part that would fit your vehicle. Hope this helps you out
just replaced both the upper and lower radiator hose on my 2005 Altima and was wondering do I need to bleed it for air bubbles? I can't seem to find the bleeder...
HI Archie, What you can do is (when the vehicle is cold) remove the radiator cap, go inside the car and blast the heat, start the car and let it warm up. Do not rev the motor up, watch the fluid level in the radiator and top it off if it drops. Once it's topped off, put the radiator cap back on, and fill the radiator overflow bottle to it's recommended level. You should be okay after that. Remember to also wear safety glasses. Hope this helps you out, have a great day, 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
+Tony Pavoni Yes, any time you drain the coolant system, or otherwise introduce air into it, you'll need to bleed it. Here's a link to another video where we show you exactly how to do bleed most coolant systems. ruclips.net/video/xeTgmdRkQtY/видео.html
+Donny King They are just retaining clips for the plastic panel. If you need more the best thing is to bring one down to a local auto part store and match them up with what they have available. If you need a specific part number you will have to contact a Nissan dealership to get that info.

Did u use the same antifreeze o poor new one?
Can I do this process for my 2010 2.5 sl?
What's the name of the part in front of the radiator, the one that looks like a smaller radiator?
Don't tighten the clamps too tight, the radiator is made of plastic can crack/break if you go too tight (possibly damage hoses too)!

What’s the silver thing called that looks like a radiator that’s in front of the radiator that’s connected to the metal silver tubes
Its either a Oil, Trans, or power steering fluid Cooler (not sure which fluid on an Altima)
What about the transmission fluid you spilled?
A better warning on how much transmission fluid would've helped. Tucking it up higher like on the video didn't help much.
Now I become a mechanic instantly.
