Without getting into super mega specifics like this subject requires, most if not all email services are free and aren't going to invest the money into large enough server and storage farms to allow any and everyone to send large files because when you do that, your stuff is on their servers and storage now, not just your PC where it came from.
To be honest, most of this problem is to do with Apple. Apple "appears" to give an easy user experience but are just terrible when it comes to transferring videos and photos.
Apple is meant to be “user friendly”, at least it seems that way on the surface. Once you want to do anything more intensive than downloading a image, it gets unbearably hard.
I hate Apple so much even though their hardware is great. Most enraging user experience of any OS. I guess it works great if every single of your devices is from Apple, else you're fucked.
I've hated iphone for a long time. It's basically pay-walled for everything. Used android for a decade but their hardware has issues and the screen went bad. I switch to iPhone 12 and rememberd why I hated it to begin with. Can't to simple things without their permission and/or buying their hardware/software. It's nonstop upsell by iphone. Can't even use the ear buds they have you in the planes.
And they charge the end user twice as much just to fcuk with them. They make you conform to the apple way of doing things which is always convoluted and non-intuitive. And they forbid you to do anything except what they say. They dictate like tyrants. Iphone gives you Itunes to play videos but when it won't let you transfer videos to Itunes. Apple is evil.
Download an app from iTunes that uses the file you want to transfer. (e.g. VLC) connect to pc, start itunes. click the little phone icon located in top left area. choose "file sharing" and select the app you downloaded . drag the file to the box on the right.
It is the year COVID-19 2020 and Apple just released a ‘cheap’ laptot for $1200 when we have a total of 50 million unemployed. Apple still acting like a normal world... 🤷🏻♂️
Apple: enable a transfer mode, like any samsung device, where you plug the IPAD on USB and can copy any media you want just by drag and drop from windows explorer!

@@GregoryThomasAllen i found out the format has to be different. I can’t remember exactly but something like M4A..idk. How I’ve managed to do it: download “Total files” from AppStore. It’s free and you can basically download videos from the internet. It will appear as an option on the iTunes where you we’re supposed to select iMovie, select Total Files. I’ll download into the app. Open the app and press on the downloaded video and save it to gallery. And you have the video in your gallery. It’s pretty intuitive. Try it. 👍🏼

Yeah, the usb cable method works great if you have one folder with 6 videos in it. When I open my DCIM folder I have about 8 folders, full of videos and pictures with no particular organization.
I've done everything that you said for the videos to be moved from pc to Iphone, but the clips show in Imovie, but it doesnt let me press on them, they are just sourt of greyed out and cant do anything with them. Can anyone help?

most of the time it says my iphone folder is empty. Only once it had a DCIM folder in it. When I opened it I got like 15 folders starting with the number 2. I cant place any images or videos in those folders.
When i import videos to iMovie, my phone cant see the files. It doesn't have that import button either. It has 3 dots which then takes me to import project. After that, it makes me select a file. Nothing is in there but when i go into 'on my iphone' the file shows up, but its gray and nothing happens when i press on it. What do i do? Do i have to update my phone to iOS 14 or should i just edit on my laptop?

Iphone only shows up in the ITunes application which has to be installed on the PC. Do you have some sort of custom software that makes Iphones or Ipads show up as a drive? Hello there people! If you still weren't able to save the video into your phone photos try this: Go to the video on the VLC app on your phone and then Share to Facebook messenger app. Then from FB msngr you hold your finger on the video and then an option to "SAVE" will pop up. That's the only way I was able to get a video saved onto my camera roll. Not sure if this will work for everyone, but hopefully it helps! **Cheers**

Dragging to the VLC folder under File Sharing was the only thing that worked for me for all video formats. If it's MP4 I was able to add it to my Movies > Home Videos folder which would sync and those videos would show up in the Apple TV app.

Hey Justin. I’m really digging your channel from what I’ve watched thus far. I didn’t know about the sharing between VLC clients and it’s come in super useful. Tends to take a tad longer than just using the wire, but it works well. I was wondering, however, if you have any advice on converting the iPhone mov files? I use Resolve for my editing but mov isn’t an accepted format. I’m not sure how to go about converting from mov to another format (or even what format) without losing quality or installing a spyware riddled program. I do use a Windows PC. Any tips? Thanks for doing what you do!!
Try Handbrake. It converts to mp4, which is common for videos and should be accepted in Resolve. If it's not, then I'm not sure what is. But, I can guarantee Handbrake doesn't lose video quality, in fact, sometimes it actually makes the video better to me.
Why can't you just transfer them from your PC to your Phone, the same way you transfer them from your Phone to your PC? I realize you can't, but why don't they allow you to do this?

SC2BETTER listen, download Send anywhere on your iphone and on ur pc google the same thing as the download and they you put the video/photo you want on the send button, on your device that you want the video/photo to go press on recieve and put the code

Hey Justin. I’m really digging your channel from what I’ve watched thus far. I didn’t know about the sharing between VLC clients and it’s come in super useful. Tends to take a tad longer than just using the wire, but it works well.
I was wondering, however, if you have any advice on converting the iPhone mov files? I use Resolve for my editing but mov isn’t an accepted format. I’m not sure how to go about converting from mov to another format (or even what format) without losing quality or installing a spyware riddled program. I do use a Windows PC. Any tips? Thanks for doing what you do!!
Try Handbrake. It converts to mp4, which is common for videos and should be accepted in Resolve. If it's not, then I'm not sure what is. But, I can guarantee Handbrake doesn't lose video quality, in fact, sometimes it actually makes the video better to me.

Why can't you just transfer them from your PC to your Phone, the same way you transfer them from your Phone to your PC? I realize you can't, but why don't they allow you to do this?
when i transfer the files with VLC on wifi after its done transferring on the computer it never shows up in VLC

If You dont see the dcim then you just go in photos and a popup will say do you want to accept this phone to see videos
