Thank you for the illustration, I’m trying to fix my not working horn on a Nissan Xtrail T31 2008, now I have an idea on what to look for and if it doesn’t work just buy a new one.
@ranbymonkeys2384 something like a broken trace on that ribbon cable would be difficult to see even if you were right in front of it. It could be cracked anywhere along the ribbon or where the ribbon connects where the wires plug in and you would have to probably ohm it out with a multimeter. It would probably be an intermittent connection that would sometimes work and other times wouldn't work.
