Thank you, Danny, for the detailed video! You saved me $500. My G35 was giving out all steering wheel controls one by one, starting with cruise controls a few years ago. Didn't bother much until the horn gave out. Finally, replaced the clock spring and everything is working now. If someone is reading this, watch out when removing the T30 type bolts. Do not use power tools. They were so tight in my G35. I thought I could use my power tool. A big mistake. I stripped one of them. I had to use a bolt extractor to get it off.

Excellent video! I will say that if you don't want to buy the specialty tool to pull the steering wheel off, a few good tugs will do the trick to work it out. It's pretty sturdy so you won't really damage it.
i was watching this after replacing mine because everything but my horn was working. figured out that the little ground wire is what i forgot to reconnect. thanks
1:56 I been waiting for 2 weeks for discount Infiniti parts to actually ship my clock spring. I couldn’t get a reliable aftermarket solution ended up paying $170 for an oem one. I know it’s the problem but until I actually change it it’s nerve racking having 2 air bag lights on
Just changed the clock spring in my 2012 Nissan Sentra... seems to be a very common problem. The controls on the wheel were slowly giving out one by one and then the horn stopped working. Thanks for the tutorial, mine was a little different from yours but It was very easy to do and costed me $22 for the clock spring instead of having the dealer do it for $800
Great tutorial Followed through the whole way. I now have my horn and steering wheel controls. However there seems to be a problem with turning the car on now. It turns but don't think it's getting any spark. Fuel injection fuse is still good. Thinking it's got something to do with the car being stuck in security mode or something. Fx35 2006. Thank you
Thanks Danny, great video. Follow up question though, after putting all back together, all buttons and horn work again, but airbag light steady flash, and traction light intermittently comes on. Any thoughts?
It may have to do with the steering wheel position sensor. You’ll see the new clock spring had a cover over it holding the pin in a certain place. It may think the steering wheel is not centered.
Can those bezel parts be adjusted without taking the steering wheel off? Staring at 8:25 on the video. Mine are misaligned and make steering slightly harder. ( Just services power steering fyi). 2003 Nissan Altima.
Update. I tried driving my car today for the first time after replacing the clock spring and I had a issue. It turned on fine, my horn works now, and I got cruise control back. However, when I was at a red light and turned left my slip and vdc lights came on, the car tried to correct itself since it thought traction was lost and BOTH lights stayed on. When I installed I didn't disconnect the last connection (10:25) as advised. Any ideas on what the issue could be?
I changed the clockspring on my 08 Nissan Armada and IT WORKED. MY horn works again! I have a question though, at 11:11 in the video, the old clockspring has a connector that is not on the new one. This was the same on my old and new clockspring. Anyone know what that connector is for? I now have a wire that is not connected to anything in my assembly. Anyone know? Also, my SLIP light comes on and I get a grinding noise from my gas pedal along with a grinding kind of feeling. This stops when I turn off the VDC button. Anyone else have any info on that?
Your instructions are literally the best. Could you make a video on how to fix the G35 triptonic (manual mode for AT) it’s seems as if the reset doesn’t work, it may have something to do with the shifter itself. Thank you!

Sounds like a possible power steering pump and maybe not the correct part if it didn’t have the sensor. You might be able to have a tuning shop turn sensors off so they don’t trigger the vdc slip and check engine lights

You should be able to unscrew them and adjust them without taking off the wheel.... tilt the wheel up to free the bottom one easier.
Thanks for the how-to vid! My horn works now, but my airbag light is still flashing...looks like I'll have to check the airbag connections.
Gotta get the airbag light removed at the dealer. Most of the time these need to be programmed once installed .
