I understand the need for the alignment but why do you need the computer recalibration? Doesn't the car learn from your driver habits? Im doing mine in a few days.
Yes I got it figured out. Take it back apart, on the back of it there’s a white piece with an indent. That indent needs to line up with the mark on the steering wheel sensor. Super easy fix
what codes did u have and why did u change the clockspring? i have flashing airbag light with airbag module open code but my horn works but the internet is recommending to change the clockspring.
Hello Helmand, The horn did work before I did this clock spring replacement, but the airbag light was on all the time and none of the steering-wheel controls worked, like volume, source, or cruise control. I don't remember the exact code, but basically, the ribbon cable in the clock spring broke. This happens on older cars with age. It sounds like replacing the clock spring will fix this for you. Once you swap it out, you'll need to reset your cars computer, which will reset your codes, by turning the ignition on and off a few times like i explained in the video. You can try resetting the code, but if your clock spring is bad, the code will return. You can obviously drive with a bad clock spring, but your driver side airbag wont deploy in an accident, so a huge safety issue. Hope this helps!
Hey Devin, sorry for the late response. I wasn't able to get the steering wheel positioning sensor to register properly, that's what the alignment fixed for me, ymmv. This is the part I ordered: www.ebay.com/itm/252764219928?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=dhbfvKDSQk6&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=3d4kFQCdQE-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Is the aftermarket clock spring you bought still holding up? Wondering if I should invest in buying one from the dealership ~$300 or a cheaper one off of eBay.
Thank you for uploading. Went to settings and slowed down the video at the parts I needed to see in more detail. We’ll done.
Great video! Thanks for the thorough explanation and tips. About to change it on my 2012 myself.
Very thorough and informative. Thanks for the awesome video❤❤
Thanks it helped me out a lot
Bro I have nothing more to say than thank you 👊👊👍

Muchas gracias!!
I successfully replaced the clockspring. But now the slip/VTC light is on. Is this the steering angle sensor saying it needs to be calibrated?
Sorry for the late reply, I believe it is. Did you get it sorted?
I have this same problem. Any tips?

After the clock spring is installed and finished, do you haft to recalibrate the computer or do anything else to it?
I had to take it in for an alignment and get the steering angle sensor recalibrated
Crank that Soulja Boy

Did you get air bag light on when the clock spring went bad?... thanks in advance
Yes, the airbag light would blink a few times after starting and stay lit
Hi, would you help me and tell me what is the part number on Amazon please. I can not find it. Thanks!
Do you know where I can get the key the one with the star mechanics are saying I need buy everything just for that one
I don't, all the stars that I have came in toolkits. Maybe eBay or Amazon?
Hey man! so, there's no need to buy the hole switch combo as we can find on internet? What part number did you look for at the store?
I was able to find it on ebay for $70, search "2007 - 2012 NISSAN SENTRA CLOCK SPRING"
What is the alignment and computer calibration for ?
Also how much was the replacement part?
Sorry one more question. Do you have a part number for that clock spring still?

The aftermarket one is still holding up fine to about 10k miles, no issues here.
Impossible to follow what you are doing with that camera jerking back and forth
i did the best i could with what i had to work with in the space

I suggest He should use a chest cam rig next time. Also shoot with the light not against it. It causes glare and haze.
This is a horrible video. How the hell do you expect someone to follow this high speed video going all over the place.
Your video made me dizzy, way too much jerky movement.
its a tough spot to record
