The best pressure washer for your pressure washing business is a matter of opinion. While I believe we should focus on flow rate first and PSI second, the entire formula for getting started need to be reversed.
DEAL FLOW is the ONLY thing we need to focus on now. Equipment is second. Learning to sell them at high ticket and position your business distinctly is third.
This is the flow that so many in our industry sadly get wrong and they quit before their business has a chance to flourish. Do the opposite of what the 90% do, invest in your deal flow first.
Starting a pressure washing business can be confusing, and even scary. We get tricked into thinking we need to have it all figured out and we need the perfect mix of chemical and equipment to do the right job. The key is to just get started first, and think second, oh...and when in doubt, when concerning pressure, less is more.
Pressure Washing and Window Cleaning is a mind game, you have to be able to take what facebook groups, youtube and everyones broke ass comments and throw it out the window and operate your business autonomously. (how you see fit)
So make sure to subscribe, like, and comment on this video. Also, download the guide, people are getting that thing in droves. -Aaron

My advice guys. If you're looking for a pressure washer to start a business with; don't go to Home Depot, don't go to Lowe's,and for God sake don't rent. Do a little research an buy online; you can get a great starter that you could use for 3 or 4 years. An that will give 4,000 psi, and 5 gpm gas powered hot,or cold water for under $2,000 and it's portable. Now you'll have to have a truck,or van to haul it, but if you had to move it you can it's on wheels. If you can't afford that much then get the most you can afford along with some attachments. An I'd also recommend 4 attachments. A 16 to 20 inch disk a 20 inch 2 wheeled horizontal wand for sidewalks a turbo nozzle, and a main nozzle with telescopic capabilities. Because a pressure washer that's up on a ladder is just hemorrhaging profit. Don't buy anything with Ryobi, DeWalt,or Simpson. Stihl, and Easy Kleen are both great starters. An Easy Kleen is a commercial grade that starts at $900.00 goes up to $15,000 before it gets into custom made rigs.

Warm water equals less cleaner. Warm water will activate on alge fast for a quicker clean time. I can clean a house with one gallon of 12% plus soap per 55 gallons of water if the water is warm. Most single Family homes take about 80 gallons of liquid for cleaning and 120 gallons to rinse 200 gallons of liquid total for most single Family homes here in northern Virginia. When its colder and water is cold your time goes up as well as cleaner and water. Warm water is just more efficient. Not saying you need it but it does make a difference. Just from my experience. If you are running solely 12 volt with a 275 gallon tote like we do you can go to farm and tractor supply and get a tank heater to keep your water warm. They are about $50 :) just make sure your temp is under 100 degs so you dont crack glass in winter or melt vinyl lol

do an awesome job with the tools and products you got and you'll get business. I started out auto detailing with a crappy Ryobi pressure washer and took my time and did extra and made customers happy.. they all refer me to hundreds of people they associate with.
know what else those people have?..homes and driveways and sidewalks that need cleaning too so as I got business for car cleaning. I offered them all service to clean their driveways and around the house. now that crap ryobi washer although good for cars sucks for anything else so I got a used Honda GX washer with 3 to 4 gpm from some guy who couldn't get customers . sold to me for 400 with a 20 " surface cleaner and 100 ft hose thing had everything. I spent 100 to service the machine and now I have a ton a work on top of the auto detailing. you have to want it, go after it and be efficient and people will seek you out for your quality work. I also drop my price per job and then suggest they do a quarterly clean, so instead of getting 1000 for a job once a year I get 1500 for going 3 times a yr. the 2nd n 3rd is easy because you already did all the hard work the 1st time. just keeping it clean is where the real business is. repeat maintenance customers on a schedule. THIS IS THE WAY

What is your opinion on paying $2,500 hands on training seminars. I know there’s lots of info on the internet also. I’m cool with the house washing and roof washing. But I limit myself with out having experience with any other surfaces. I work full time and retiring in two years. I started pressure washing on the side with a 4 gpm from water cannon and a 12 volt system from pressure tek. It took me two years to pay off my equipment and inclosed trailer. Now I’m making profit and building a good reputation. But I’m getting asked to do different kind of jobs now and find myself making excuses not to take them because lack of knowledge. Also when should I upgrade to a larger machine.
