As a French native speaker, I must admit that it was a very, very good performance by Michael Fassbender. What is funny is that he didn’t use an Anglo Saxon accent, like some could expect, but a German one. (Since Michael Fassbender is half German and bilingual in English and German, it’s not that surprising. It’s also more fitting for Magneto)
I’m obsessed with this scene. The pronunciation and the way he delivered the lines are perfect. Apparently Michael spent part of his formative years in France so he’s rather fluent in French in real life.

Pour ce qui est du contenu actuel de cette chaîne, il y a quelques films français ( Nikita, Mesrine, La Chêvre, et quelques autres ) et plusieurs chansons de variété, rock, rap. S'il y a moins de films français que de films US, il y a plusieurs raisons : - Je travaille essentiellement avec des films que j'aime ( pour garder l'envie de faire des vidéos le plus longtemps possible ) et j'ai une préférence pour les films d'action ou SF, ce qui n'est pas la spécialité de la France. - Un film français implique un travail supplémentaire de traduction alors que je peux facilement avoir une traduction du dialogue français en prenant un film hollywoodien. - Les films français sont plus souvent bloqués que les films US sur RUclips, ce qui est doublement frustrant quand ça arrive ( des heures de travail perdues ) - Pour certaines personnes qui apprennent le français, le contexte de ces scènes de film leur est déjà connu et ils connaissent parfois les dialogues d'origine par coeur, ce qui leur permet de comprendre et d'assimiler plus rapidement vocabulaire qu'ils découvrent en français. Ce n'est pas miraculeux, tout n'est pas parfait, mais c'est un outil qui a son utilité si je me fie aux commentaires laissés sur cette chaîne. It doesn't make much sense really: his sentences and vocabulary are pretty complex but his flow is awful. I'm willing to bet it was all done phonetically and he has no idea what he's saying... Also he probably had a pretty good coach because he did nail some peculiarities but his performance doesn't seem natural at all, even for a foreign speaker, which he is supposed to be.

@@retropaganda8442 Salut. Je comprends ton point de vue. En vérité, la chaîne est incomplète, et donc le concept l'est aussi. Pour ce qui est du contenu actuel de cette chaîne, il y a quelques films français ( Nikita, Mesrine, La Chêvre, et quelques autres ) et plusieurs chansons de variété, rock, rap.
S'il y a moins de films français que de films US, il y a plusieurs raisons :
- Je travaille essentiellement avec des films que j'aime ( pour garder l'envie de faire des vidéos le plus longtemps possible ) et j'ai une préférence pour les films d'action ou SF, ce qui n'est pas la spécialité de la France.
- Un film français implique un travail supplémentaire de traduction alors que je peux facilement avoir une traduction du dialogue français en prenant un film hollywoodien.
- Les films français sont plus souvent bloqués que les films US sur RUclips, ce qui est doublement frustrant quand ça arrive ( des heures de travail perdues )
- Pour certaines personnes qui apprennent le français, le contexte de ces scènes de film leur est déjà connu et ils connaissent parfois les dialogues d'origine par coeur, ce qui leur permet de comprendre et d'assimiler plus rapidement vocabulaire qu'ils découvrent en français.
Ce n'est pas miraculeux, tout n'est pas parfait, mais c'est un outil qui a son utilité si je me fie aux commentaires laissés sur cette chaîne.

In my opinion the French language spoken in this scene 🎬 is amazing if we take in consideration the mixed German/English accent.
I have studied Spanish, Italian, French, English and German and appreciate the accents used in some movies 🎥
For information ℹ️ I speak fluently the 5 languages including my native Portuguese language.
Unfortunately, I speak only 50% of German.

J’adore ce passage marquant d’autant plus que je vis en Suisse 🇨🇭 et que Michael passe rendre visite à ce fameux banquier suisse-allemand qui parle son dialecte locale.
Toute en sachant de la diversité des dialectes Schweizerdeutsch et patois de la Suisse.
La performance de M. Fassbender n’est pas parfaite mais quasi.
En tout cas, la manière dont il s’exprime est tout à fait remarquable.
Bien sûr, c’est mon point de vue et autant respecter l’avis de chacun.

Ok they have an accent but for the rest, pronunciation is excellent, special award for the 'r'. This letter is generally difficult for quite a number of people learning french.

French is absolutely a beautiful language (I regret not having been able to learn it at school, I was made to learn German instead) But, don't be too hard on Espańol, mi amigo, it's also, in its own, different way, a wonderfully expressive and passionate language. I have a very dear friend in Mexico, who, when I pay her compliments in Spanish, she is flattered and delighted to hear, but if I were to say the exact 'same words' in English, to an English, American or Australian woman, (mi mas hermosa reina/my most beautiful queen) they would sound ludicrously over the top and overly sentimental and simpishly fawning... Spanish may not be as 'subtle' as French, but, it allows, I feel, a more 'blunt directness' which expresses feelings with more Honesty, rather than 'ornamentation'... The first time I heard someone in Mexico defuse a brewing family argument, simply by murmuring ''tranquilo...'' was Sooo Slick, compared to any English words to 'calm down' or 'chill out', which could be taken as patronising or condescending, but ''tranquilo'' it conveyed all the Emotion, without condescension, with just one gentle word... He’s pretty much fluent albeit with a strong accent, but he knows a few very French things, for instance, “je vous retrouverais” pronounced as “je vous retrouvrais”.

It doesn't make much sense really: his sentences and vocabulary are pretty complex but his flow is awful.
I'm willing to bet it was all done phonetically and he has no idea what he's saying... Also he probably had a pretty good coach because he did nail some peculiarities but his performance doesn't seem natural at all, even for a foreign speaker, which he is supposed to be.
