Well done Camille on the new permission, nice to get some good finds first time around as well 🙂 all the best. 5am wake up call for me and an early morning drive to the honeyhole
Good morning Camille! There's nothing like hunting on a permission, my first one was when my detecting experience's jumped leaps and bounds. I think and hope your going to have a lot of fun there, The Silver's will be there, but the Penny's will always outnumber them, And you do have to use your imagination to guess at how they went from my one place to another, which way they may have walked to visit a neighbour or go down to the dam. Doing that myself led me to a hotspot of mid 1800s to early 1900s finds, just by imagining a path to a neighbours house a kilometre away. Lucky you! Enjoy! Cheers!
Yes so true. I love trying to recreating their life. Where did they throw all their rubbish. So much is burnt too when I dig down close to the dwelling. I’ll try and get to the 1800’s dwelling soon. And I’ve got the very front gates and old road to detect too.. and the dam. Omg there’s so much to do there. Take care mate 😃👍👍☀️🍀
@@10TargetsDetecting I did notice on my permission that the different generations tended to congregate in different locations as well, it would still be a mixed bag of coins but dominated by older in one area and younger in the other. Well my news on the damaged external hard drive was the worst, they were unable to save anything from it. but there is one saving grace, I edited a two hour video for the owners of the property, covering the first two months of the hunt. I'm hoping they haven't deleted it, and that I'll be able to make a copy, Fingers crossed 🤞 Cheers Camille!
Thanks Lee. See how I go next visit. There’s so much space sometimes it’s hard to hit a patch. But I think I have access to the older dwelling next. With the landowner who wants to have a swing too.
Gday Camille. Those things you don’t know are toggles for holding cupboard doors closed or fly wire screens on. Good haul of pennies. Some of the coms are in beautiful condition. You have heaps to play with there. Good luck. Take care mate 😁👍
Hi C, good to see you out on a homestead permission. I bet you had iron ringing in your ears. Keep at it, there should be good history there. I bet the landowner likes having someone there to dig up bits and look at it all. Part of the fun.😀B
Thanks 👍 your permissions are awesome!! Fingers crossed I can find some variety and interesting bits. It’s so relaxing though but there’s sooo much space to explore. Happy hunting to you and the wife. Catch you soon 😃👍👍🤞🍀
Great run of coins on your new permission Camille. The silvers will come up for you on the next hunt I'm sure.New permissions are always exciting because you never know what treasures are there waiting for you to unearth.Cheers.
Fingers crossed! For more treasures next time. The home owner is pretty excited for me to get back there… hopefully some more finds next week. Take care. All the best. And happiest of hunting to you too.
Thanks Tony!! I’m really looking for older than what I’ve found so far. But still very happy with the finds so far. Hope you find some old ones too soon. Take care and all the best. Happy hunting to you.
My kind of digging around the old home sites. But if you keep digging home sites you may have to change the name of your channel. Hahahaha. Congratulations on the new permission and thanks for sharing!!!
I love the old home sites. And dump sites. I need to find the bottle dump if I can. The homeowner is helpful though and I’ll include the old photos next video if I can. Can’t wait to get back out there.
An educated guess on the "Southern Cross" item - It may be related to a southern cross windmill used for pumping water? I might give it a Google Lense search in a bit.
Thanks Peter. See what I can find next time. It’s a lovely spot to detect. Fingers crossed I can find some cool stuff for the home owner. Take care mate
Surprising finding that spot with the pennies… but not too surprising as it was close to the house with a great view. But I am looking forward to finding a bit more variety… 🤞🤞

Nice hunt. The flattish brass things with a hole in the middle are 'old school' flyscreen butterfly clips. Happy hunting.
Hi Tim!! Cheers for watching. Thanks for the info. And happy hunting to you!!
Great dig Camille 🙌🏻 So many pennies and half pennies.. I was sure you’d dig a silver!! Next time 😉
Thanks Lee. See how I go next visit. There’s so much space sometimes it’s hard to hit a patch. But I think I have access to the older dwelling next. With the landowner who wants to have a swing too.
Sounds great!! 😃😃😃

I am amazed at the dates on the coins. Where I live and scan in the States, I'm thrilled to find a coin older than 1960!

@@10TargetsDetecting Success! Found a 1944 wheat penny today! Keep sending those positive vibes my way!
4:20 is some sort of wedge. This one looks a bit too thin for tree felling. May have been used for splitting stone…
Thanks Pat. Cheers for watching and your comment. All the best mate 😊👍👍🍀

I asked my father in law, a builder in rural queensland- it's a connector for a wooden pushrod water pump. "Still lots in use"
Was that the site of the first federal mint?! They look like they seeded enough pennys there! Old mate farmer growing currency 😂
