I love the single deployment watch band. I have a skeletal deformity which prevents me from supinating my palms (in other words, my wrists do not turn as they should), so when I was gifted with an SD watch for my birthday, it was the best thing I had ever seen. So easy to take on and off; no twisting or straining or requesting assistance!
You still have to bend the leather severely after it is clasped to engage the first ( usually "Fixed" location) keeper ring....snd then slide over the movable keeper ring. Careful or not, a regular clasp puts a big strain like a knife edge from the buckle on the leather, and then the issue of tightly bending the strap to finish the process.
To lengthen the life of the strap on my watches with a regular buckle, I pull the strap further out instead of bending it back.I don't wear my watches tightly around my wrist though, so for people who do, it won't work.
I need help with my Mauboussin watch. It has the dual thingie with the spring and it came apart. It looks like it should just fold back and I should be able to slip the end of my strap back through the open end. But I can't. There is a bar blocking it. This happened before and a guy in a watch shop fixed it so fast I could not see how he did it. And now it happened again and I am very far from any good watch shop. I love my watch and am so bummed out. Can you help?
Guys, Why do you use oversize and ugly watches as a sample on your videos? Why not Seikos, Hamiltons, Rolex, Omega and Other brands that produce classic watches?

If you are careful when you strap and unstrap the watches the leather holds up really well.
