Definitely watch Superman The Animated Series and Justice League. I have been a Superman fan since childhood and watched the first 2 episodes. I highly recommend this series.

I am glad that this series seems to be focusing on Clark Kent. IMHO the best Superman stories are not about if he can over come a physical threat because he obviously can since he is Superman; The best Superman stories are about Clark's relationships and him articulating his moral philosophy. What's So Funny about Truth, Justice and The American Way, All-Star Superman, and Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow are some of the best Superman stories because they focus on Superman's deep care for humanity and that is the morality he learned as Clark from Ma and Pa Kent.
