Now if Jayco would take this "flat deck fifth wheel" idea a little further and make a travel trailer out of the Eagle HT 30.5 MLOK with a king bed and the big water tank. In Modern Farmhouse of course. We would snap that up in a heartbeat!
@@JoshtheRVNerd It's nice but at almost 40' it's way longer than what I want to tow. The 280RSOK at 35' 4" is about as long as I would like. With a 20' HD crew cab in front and the hitch figured in we are approaching 60' long rig.

We have plenty of other models that do that. This was purpose-built with the idea of the camp kitchen for couples in mind. Sacrificing the camp kitchen can quickly yield camp side windows.
This is a super wonderful trailer..... The only thing that would make me "jump for joy" is if they could add a bunk house 😉 and keep the rest of this floor plan as well.....
We own this travel trailer and this is NOT 1/2 ton towable. I have a 2019 Silverado 2500 HD, and that truck is working to pull this rig. A half ton might seem to tow it fine, but when it comes to stopping it, the lighter duty braking system on a 1/2 ton pick up wont hold up in a panic situation.
I own a 2020 Eagle HT 280RSOK. I have a question you might want to ask Jayco. I can't get a response from them on their website. My trailer and all Eagle HT's come with 4 Star Handling Pkg. It comes with 16" Goodyears and "shock prep". I see the shock mounting tabs on the frame but there are no tabs on the axles and no clearance to even fit a shock absorber between the frame and the tires. Maybe I'm missing something.

Pricing can vary wildly based on equipment & even identically equipped RVs can vary significantly based on discounts available from the MFG at the time. A price in the video wouldn't do anyone any good. We leave a link in the video description where you can see individual prices on individual RVs at your leisure.
The really, really heavy 1/2 ton models (I call them 2/3 tons lol) should handle it. However, a longer wheelbase will serve you well and a heavy WDH would be a wise investment.

It's always a push and a pull trying to figure out how best to use the space in an RV. More space in one spot means less for another. What would you shrink down to gain more counter space??
It's amazing how you praise one feature of a RV and then say its not good in another. I am referring to the heat ducts in the floor of this unit. In other units that have the heat ducts in the cabinets and walls you praise that. You can't have it both ways.
Different features have different benefits. Everything's greatest asset is also it's greatest liability. I simply choose to focus on positive aspects rather than negatives. What winter temps. Can this TT withstand... here in MISSOURI, we do get good cold winters,snow and ice. Is this one able to go full time for a couple?
Proven down to zero for indefinite use. Any time you're parked for the winter things like skirting should be used regardless of how the RV is built.
