I bought drags a few years back but was leery about using them for a while. A few months back I put 3 traps on drags to try so far I've caught a yote and a bobcat at the same set location a night apart. The cat went 15 feet the yote about 40 feet and I've since put all my traps on drags. Makes resetting sets so easy and actually pretty fun tracking the drag marks to find your catch. I also use the drags you use very nice equipment. 👍
Now that's the best idea I've seen all morning. I'm new to trapping and I'm gathering as much info as I can. I'm also limited to using public lands (of which we have many) so this would be just the right thing for that. Thanks !
thanks Jeff for the video I was almost out of juice hadn't heard much about you from the other sources glad you're still kicking hope you can film and edit during trapping season

Beautiful set.
Chris Gilliam Trapping thkschris
I noticed that you use a Bridger pan on those dukes, is the pan that much larger and does it improve the number of catches over the duke pan?
with new drags and chain, should I be boiling them to take scent away or not a big deal? Love the videos.
With new drags and chain I have done it several different ways but I definitely get the oil off both
I would have positioned the trap so the dog would be facing the lure. however, i see why you set it the way you did.
makes sense 🍺💪💪💪
Since you put the chain and drag directly under the trap do you wax the drag and chain ?
Port Royal Trapper nope.i dont .I only dye and wax the trap to keep it working good not for scent control
You could I just usually dye mine if they look rusty.havent done them yet this summer
Dunlap Lures yeah I dye my earth anchors just for rust. Thanks for the info maybe I’ll give some Drag’s a try this season
Setup a trail camera up in a tree pointing at your trap if its on a road to catch the damn thief!!!!
Seems like trap is far away from the backing. Looks like you will get a back leg in your trap
Chad Campbell 10 inches is a back leg catch setup?
Chad Campbell I dont care if I catch them by the front or back leg.i dont turn them loose if there caught by a back leg
I like to put my trap closer. I guess it's just preference. You have great videos.keep up the good work bud
Chad Campbell appreciate u watching bud and being involved!
Good information Jeff
