- Everywhere I fish, I tend to have a quick look on aerial maps to get a scope of the land. This area has been on my mind for the last few months in the hopes of fishing it in the spring and summer months! The research definetly paid off, hope you enjoy!

I added a lifestraw to my kit a while ago and its great to cut down on weight of water you carry or just in case you run out of water.

Yea for the landbased stuff in tight country I run between 15-20lb.. with such tight structure I want to be able to pull the fish out as quick as possible without putting too much pressure on the lighter leader! The mainline punches well above its weight class, but i would definetly run lighter when I know the fish class is a bit smaller (e.g bream) or there’s more space to play them out and not get buried in the structure. When im in the kayak I generally go a bit lighter but landbased I go a bit heavier.. hope this helps!

Thanks mate! You just have to get out and give it a crack. A lot of the time I come home with nothing… this time of year I look for the brackish areas where you can barely see the creek on the map! Most creeks especially in SEQ will hold bass

In this video I go through the specs of the rod. It’s basically a 1-3 kg rod 5’4 but probably a bit light for the jacks. Great for throwing the smaller baits for bass and bream but might need a 3-5 or 4-8 for jack fishing
Absolutely no need to worry about snake bites with those waders on. Our venomous snakes have fangs averaging 2 to 3 millimeters. In extreme cases some browns may have fangs up to 5mm. To get an invenomating bite while wearing waders... you would have to be the unluckiest person around.
Knowing my luck it’d happen! I’ve been looking into it and will most likely still wear the waders with the snake gators over the top. Dealt with browns and blacks in the past as long as your not stupid you should be sweet!

It’s a system we use here to capture data and look at fish growth, recapture rate, movement etc.

Appreciated the remote fishing trip but as a christian I am dismayed at all the taking Gods/Jesus name in vain. Its called blasphemy and is the 3rd of the 10 commandments on not what to do. Why is Gods name used in place of a cuss word? Worth investigating.
