You may want to rethink working with BetterHelp. Some of these online "mental health" services that have been advertising on RUclips have been found sending LGBT+ people to homophobic & transphobic therapists, who then leave them in even worse shape. Or just generally having incompetent therapists. Just … be careful with who you promote.

      I paid so I know.
They were sued for offering “listeners” rather than professionals.
      They lost.
      I got a refund.
They seem to be making a comeback- seen them on several channels already.
I got the emails so I can prove what I’m typing.

I appreciate the work that you do, but I think you probably should have done some research into BetterHelp's practices. They were sued for selling patient information, and they also got in trouble for having fake therapists on their platform who were using the credentials of real therapists. Please do better.

This is just about 30metres from my kitchen window. They have this wonderful delicate almost otherworldly aura around them and sometimes one will come to nibble just a few metres away, before they spot me and become spooked.

We have a garden where we try to offset our groceries and stuff. It's not a huge garden, but it's good. But my favorite thing is to watch the rabbits and their babies come and cutely demolish all our hard work. It's like watching a cat ignore all the toys and beds you got it, or a dog watch a the frisbee you throw in excitement and then look back at you in excitement for your next trick, Madam Wizard, without retrieving the ball. It should be frustrating, but it is a little funny so I can't get too mad.

I mean, sea otters, of course. I went up to Vancouver after 3.5 years of staying home and watching the otters on the livestream. As we were waiting at the border crossing I suddenly said to husband, on the verge of a breakdown, "If. I. don't. see. Quatse. I. am. going. to cry." Luckily we got to spend hours watching all 8 otters plus see Natoa for the first time when he was still a squishy baby. I also used to work near Woodland Park Zoo and didn't have to be in until 11. So I went to the zoo most days before work and walked for a hour. It was so good for me. Feeling really engaged with animals, seeing new behaviors, new zoo babies, learning about their personalities plus getting in lots of gentle exercise--such a winning combination! Zoo membership > gym membership.

The creature I love the most is usually whichever one shows up when I go looking, which I do every day, both in person and online! That said, I do have a special fondness for sea otters (especially Joey and the gang!), hummingbirds, lazuli buntings, scrub jays, magpies, and the new fawns and their mothers that I see around here at this time of year. They never fail to heal my heart; I wouldn't make it without them!

Hi KP. I first came to your channel via Joey. The video of his objection to the pink jellyfish toy appeared in my YT stream one day, probably a year or so ago, and I must have watched it 40+ times and laughed every one of them.
I then started to be fed seal rescues and have since subscribed to a few trustworthy channels including yours and OCNs. Generally ones where I want them to benefit from a boost to the algorithm. I block channels where I think the animals are treated without proper respect.
I truly love your channel, as I always learn something and, as ever, the information in this video is spot on. Being with animals is a joy. My local zoo is Whipsnade Wildlife Park, which you may not have heard of, but it is part of the Zoological Society of London, and is a conservation zoo. Mind you, you wouldn’t want to be near me as I walk round the zoo as I do talk to the animals, telling them how lovely they are or just saying hello - it seems rude not to🤣.
I totally understand what you say about pets as I have had cats all my life, but am not sure that it would be fair to have another now, even though I know I would benefit hugely. Just seeing you hug and kiss your ferret has made me smile as it reminded me of kissing the top of my cat's head.
Thank you for another lovely video and good wishes for the weekend.😊

I like seeing Red Birds(Cardinals), Blue Jays, and Ravens most but any other birds around where I live. At the zoo I like seeing the giraffes, zebras, Przewalski horse if they have any, okapi, and elephants. At the aquarium I really enjoy almost everything. The fish are so relaxing to watch. Penguins, otters, sea lions, and walruses are so funny when they’re playing. Larger marina animals, like dolphins and orcas, are so graceful to watch (I know it is not a good practice but when I was a little kid and saw them I just couldn’t look away from them. Such grace and ease in the water.) Now I can watch them on videos out where they belong and the amazement is still strong to this day when I see them.

I have a lot of respect for those that volunteer at animal rescues. I tried it, and it was depressing. I know we're there to help. It's just that ya go into a room with dogs, cuz you're going to walk one of them.
Ya can immediately sense which dogs have been beaten. Ya feel so bad for them. Then there's also the dog that's all happy, cuz here comes a human to let em out of their cage. Unfortunately, ya can only let one out at a time. So the happy dog has this disappointed "maybe next time" look.
Then the walks were always fun, but they were only for about 15 minutes. Then ya had to go get another dog. A lot of those dogs didn't want to go back inside. They knew they were going to be back in that cage for another 23 hours and 45 minutes.
Then I couldn't help but think, if I only had the money- I could donate and build better facilities for these animals. The thing is though, they don't need facilities as much as they need people to adopt them.

I think one thing to remember when visiting zoos is that many animals have different sleep/wake cycles than humans. Many of the animals are crepuscular, meaning they are most active at dawn and dusk, so they'll spend most of the day sleeping or relaxing. Also, a study from the University of Zurich found that most mammals, including elephants, have a greater life expectancy in zoos and aquariums where they are safe from the threat of poaching, predation, food shortages, and habitat loss.
      [1] www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/11/161107112635.htm
If you're interested, I found this article from the Center for the Environment and Welfare particularly enlightening because it debunks a lot of misconceptions about zoos and aquariums, discusses a lot of the benefits of these facilities, and backs up all their arguments with data from published research.
      [2] environmentandwelfare.com/the-benefits-of-zoos-for-conservation-and-education/
Another thing to know is that many world class wildlife conservation organizations strongly support zoos. One example is Polar Bears International, who strongly believe that polar bears would not exist in the wild if not for the work of zoos and aquariums. I'll link some of their statements below.
