  • In this video, i'm going to be explaining WHY Spectrum Mobile is so popular right now! I'm sure you've seen the commercials about their 2999 unlimited data plan with 5g included so i'll be breaking down all of the good in a cell phone plan service review! Spectrum Mobile uses the Verizon Wireless network but has their own dedicated plans with hotspot capability. You do need to be a Spectrum Internet customer in order to take part in their mobile phone deals. In multiple speed test scenarios vs Verizon, reviews have put Spectrum Mobile's performance not too bad, especially for the price! So guys, let's talk about it!

I’ve had it for a year and it’s been awesome! (In Orlando).. I have Wi-Fi at home and work so the 20 Gig doesn’t bother me, not a huge hotspot person either.

I went to Spectrum from ATT and cut my bill in half. I like it so far as phone service goes but the only I noticed is that my speed slows down well before GB cap. I originally had the 20 GB plan but used most of that with 10 days to go in the billing cycle and noticed it started slowing around 18GB. So I bumped up to the 30GB plan because I’m averaging 1GB a day. I’m at 23.5GB and again I’m already experiencing slower speeds. I don’t understand this and don’t know how to fix it, it’s a bit frustrating.
Spectrum also told me that they have Wi-Fi towers and if your near one your phone goes off that and doesn’t use data. I’ve yet to experience that to my knowledge.

Hi Ron, that would be because you are subject to Network Congestion Management with Spectrum Mobile (meaning that your area is heavily congested and you are being "throttled" before the limit unfortunately).

I'm in Santa Clarita CA. The only area where it may drop or get weak reception is Plum Canyon. But I had the same issues with T-mobile. I'm extremely happy with switching over. I'll be hitting more of souther CA this summer so we'll see how it goes but I'm pretty optimistic.

I just got an iPhone 14 pro max with the e sim..awhile back I heard they can’t do the e sim, is that true now? Also, if we are considering getting 3 phones with spectrum, will we have to pay full price ($45), for 3rd line? Thank you for video!

Hey Gena, Spectrum now supports eSIM: www.spectrum.com/mobile/products/phones/esim-info and also EACH Unlimited line is $29.99 instead of their old pricing of $45 a line. If you have any other questions be sure to let me know!!

You need spectrum internet to qualify for the spectrum mobile so if you did have tv you need the internet to get the mobile service

Do you happen to work for Spectrum or are you just saying this because it shows on the website that you "need" to have Spectrum Internet in order to sign up for Spectrum Mobile? I'm just genuinely curious... Whenever i've called in and talked to a supervisor they've informed me that "technically" they don't want people who just have the TV service to sign up but as long as they have a "Spectrum account" then they are able to add Spectrum Mobile to it.

the unlimited shouldnt even be that. Once you use your aloted data its slowed so bad almost unusable, at least my experience in most of the state of Ohio. Service isnt quite as good as their map says either.
I had tried Visible and they were ugh. However I have used ATT prepaid for $300 a year upfront and thats great service no throttling, except you only get 16gb of high speed data
