    Literally nothing happened to him. He’s a guy that is very fast and has huge biceps, some skill. Nothing else. People looked at that and overhyped him for no reason. That created an illusion that he was going to be some world class player when in reality his output has never been that good or promising. His best season was 4 goals and 9 assists. Hasn’t even come close to those numbers any other season. He’s a solid squad player, good to have when you need pace and strength in certain situations. He’s not a “bad” player but he also isn’t the next “world class” player some hyped him up to be.

    • @Vizeh

      That’s fair enough, that unique quality he has can make him special though

    • @jacob4tee

      he literally had the most dribbles in all of europe so i don’t know how u can say he was nothing else, he wasn’t overhyped cause he genuinely was at that level but has dropped off recently

    • @redchampion
      @redchampion Год назад +25

      Nobody called him world-class, he's just a classical winger that doesn't go for goal, he barely takes any shots and w wolves' ass attack he didn't get any assists either, idk why but then he was starting to get dropped a lot under bruno lage and the team never got better without him, we can only hope lopetegui sees his potential and that he can thrive under a spanish coach

    • @PLC11
      @PLC11 Год назад +22

      @@jacob4tee please read what I wrote because in no way was I insulting him or calling him a bad player. At the end of the day he was overhyped and never showed great output. Without output it doesn’t matter how good your dribbling is or this or that. And you can’t say he was overhyped bc he was at a world class level when his best season he had 4 goals and 9 assists. His next best season….2 goals and 2 assists. That’s not world class output

    • @PLC11
      @PLC11 Год назад

      @@redchampion the question though is what is his potential? 4 goals and 9 assist beging his best season and his next best is 2 goals and 2 assists. Again not saying he is a bad player but he most certainly is overhyped. At the nes of the day he needs to have better output. Especially when everyone is talking about his pace, dribbling, crossing etc. if it doesn’t lead to anything….. then it’s just flair. Good rotational player but if wolves wants to be a top 6-8 side they need to sign better wingers. No hate here just it is what it is

    That happens to so many prospects who have absurd physical ability, whether that’s height, strength or pace. At youth level they won’t come up against that many players who have more of what makes them good and the youth players don’t have the game intelligence to know how to deal with it. So at youth level dominate, soon as they come to senior football there’s likely someone who’s much smarter to overcome the difference.

    • @robert2690
      @robert2690 Год назад

      Of course he looks smaller when young because he’s young and Spain football prioritize possession football, not prioritizing strength training. Compare to other leagues where they do prioritize strength training a lot.
      So of course when he’s at Spain at a young age, he don’t lift weights.
      But when he plays in England, he has to be physically strong. Also, He don’t lift iron weights but he does other things that increase strength like resistance bands.
      Like farmers, they don’t lift weights, their labor is so intensive that it requires strength. That’s why you people talking about “farmers strength” or something like that.
      Believe it or not, dad strength and old man strength is a real thing. And these dads don’t look physically in shape but their strength makes gym bros look weak as hell.

    tbh he still make it to the NFL. he’ll be a stud at Running Back(Derrick Henry,Christian McCaffrey) the guy who receives the back and runs for it.

    Never forget Stewart Downing did an interview and said Adama didn’t have a clue where to stand or what to do when playing for Boro 😂 said for a lad from Barca his football awareness and knowledge was shocking 😂 he said Pulis told the players to give him the ball and let him do the work, told him to just stand out wide and wait for the ball 😂

    It was the coaching fault.
    Theo Walcott managed to score over 100 goals for club and country despite having smaller physic and multiple injuries.
    Shawn Wright Philips also had a good career playing just like Traore.

    He doesn't lube his arms just to get past players, the main reason is because his shoulders pop out really easy and players always pull on his arms to try and keep up with him.

    What happened? Football evolved and left his play style behind. He’d be a monster in the mid 1990s 4-4-2 setups as the small, muscle man alongside someone north or 6’ with a maestro behind him feeding them balls. If he took the next four months to adjust himself a touch to use his strength to bully defenses and slow down to conserve his knees, he will have longevity and maybe greatness ahead as he he still strikes me as uneasy on the ball.

    • @athosgomesfonseca
      @athosgomesfonseca Год назад +2

      @@jeffchad6481 hence why if I were him, I’d shift to playing full back. Managers have failed to see and develop his defensive qualities and touch and focused on pace and strength and it’s created a powerful winger but he lacks the necessary levity on the ball to truly impose himself. A shift to fullback with his present qualities would enable him to play RWB and go inverted at LWB proving whoever he played for with some much needed strength at the back as well as explosive pace playing from deep. His finishing and touch are his weakness and to stop a player like him, all you have to do is stick to him and let him either fumble to football or force a foul. Either way, he’s been clearly mismanaged in his development, a real shame.

      There's multiple times where Traore probably would have thrived with his skill set if he could only finish which the mid-1990s was one of them. Today is another time frame he'd should thrive, but doesn't because he can't finish.

    Anyone else think he could do a job at defensive midfield? He’s big enough, quick, able to easily dribble through defenders. He could intercept the ball or get a pass from the center back and drive through the middle to the final third and lay off an easy pass
