The uniden R3 has mute memory, I would put back on K band, city cops will use K band instant-on, state cops almost exclusively use KA. When you get a k band pop up that always happens you press mute then press mute again and it memorizes that frequency. KA band is 99% of the time a cop. Primarily wanna use CITY mode, then highway when the roads dont have a lot of traffic.
Detector doesn't protect you from the speed gun cops use. It's an instant laser to get your speed. By the time the detector lets you know, it's too late. Only Laser Jammers will completely block a cop from getting your speed. Check out TMG jammers. That's what I use.
