Did Arcane S2 fail? | Explained

I've been seeing an influx of negative takes on Arcane S2 after I made this video...so we shall see what y'all think? I still love this show and I thoroughly enjoyed S2 and I hope I explain my reasons well. Let me know what you think!

The emotional core is so strong in season 2 that even with any pacing/budget issues it just hits so hard if you love these characters. Episode 7 was a masterpiece

I agree! I think they did such a masterful job of capturing the characters and their story. I think maybe part of the disconnect is that in some ways, watching season one WITH season two could’ve helped make things more streamlined for some.

Jinx is 19 and vi is 23 something. But still agree

I knew vi was older age wise, but obviously being trapped in solitary probably makes her a bit younger and older mentally. Jinx I had no idea what age she was, I knew she was a teen in some way 😂

I don't want to be rude, but you started the video by saying you would explain why you think people judge Arcane Season 2 too harshly. However, you spent 24 minutes summarizing the season and only about 6 minutes actually explaining your opinion, that more than 2/3. I don’t really see the point of this video because you didn’t go in-depth on the criticisms, why you think they’re unfair, or why you believe the showrunners made the right choices.

Thank you for the critique. I do disagree, I think I did explain as to why I believe the show runners made the correct choice (budget and time constraints as well as they were experimenting with story structure), and I believe that I did voice that I loved this season and the reasons as to why. I didn’t go incredibly in depth into the criticisms, but I did go over some of them but I wanted to focus on the positives of the plot (hence why I summarized). I appreciate the critique as to why you don’t see the point because perhaps it wasn’t the type of video you thought but I thought I went over my opinions and why I agreed/ disagreed with general consensus.

I never understand how people can praise this show, there are too many strong female characters. 😂 Joking aside - Fortiche created an animated masterpiece. True Artists. The plot is believable enough to enjoy the feast for the eyes without embarrassment.
