    02:22 - Tasha's HIDEOUS Laughter, not hidden lmao
    Also, as some of you guys mentioned already - Strength is NOT necessary at all for every character, but it does help to have atleast a little bit of it.

      Obviously, you can use an elixir of Hill Giant Strength from a vendor for a boost; but you can also have a character equip the club of Hill Giant Strength from the Arcane Tower.
      They don't have to be actually using the club to derive the strength buff.

  • @locke03
    @locke03 Год назад +66

    Using the Chest of the Mundane found in the Arcane Tower in act 1 as a pseudo bag of holding. It's heavy, but it reduces the weight of any items placed into it to 0.05kg, which can quickly make up for its 20kg weight when you are trying to loot a large battlefield of all the suits of armor. Sometimes it bugs out and doesn't reduce the weight of items when you drop a stack into it, but you can fix that by removing an item and adding it back.

      That's invaluable! Thanks! :)

    Good tips. Here is another for ya.... When you cast Cloud of Daggers also cast Summon Weapon and put the weapon in the middle. As long as your group is out Agro all enemies, they will attack the weapon, standing in the cloud for as long as it takes. You can literallly watch the mob kill itself. Peace

    Re #2: I dumped my strength and don't use Misty step for gaps like that. There's another way. It costs a few HP, but I've always got a ton of healing potions so it's not a problem...

    For dialogue proficiency checks it only shows you what your modifiers are . . . NOT what the difficulty class of the check will be. Often the option that you might have the most modifiers for might also have a higher DC so it isn't always easier. And the Class specific options, while usually good, can sometimes be bad or even auto fails (looking at you my Bard!). It really helps to consider who you are talking to and what solution might be easiest to convince them with in addition to considering your modifiers.

    Tip 11 advanced version - have a bard :) Just put a bard in a place as far as possible from what you want to steal , preferable next to wall so no one can stand behind him, and just start playing. everyone will go to listen to him(so no matter how many npc are in area or if you can get in conversation with them) while your thief can get to work. Respectfully disagree about strength. Yes, jump is extremely good, and overall strength is important af, but as a bard or rogue I really don't need any, and could enhance jump by many other different means. I mean, it's basically on min-maxing side of things, which is always full of opinions and debatable.
    Other then that, what an absolute madman, 130h+ first playthrough and started second? :)

    • @markkirby9531
      @markkirby9531 Год назад +1

      I agree about the jump bit. One trick I've learned is that the limit on distance only seems to apply to the selected character. I'm playing a rogue at 8 strength and there have been times where I couldn't make a jump to a certain point. If i switched to a different player that could make the jump, then the other 3 characters would make the jump to follow.

    • @nickrubin7312
      @nickrubin7312 Год назад +1

      @@markkirby9531 that's probably AI figuring out for you some space to jump/land to better, if they don't have strength to jump to certain length - they won't, and in some cases it's really difficult, especially if camera is being janky, to figure out space to land/jump to. On the other hand, credit where credit is due, if all have feather fall and vault jumping and whatnot they will jump with consideration of the applied effect. Pathing is hard in general, I mean to implement without jank, and with all that separate actions is difficulty multiplies, I wish there were party formations, but probably will be patched as QoL later.

    Iirc the melee hit modifier will actually be based on whichever stat is highest between str and dex. Also this is more for high charisma characters but if a vendor has stuff you want and you don't want to risk pickpocketing, stay on the barter screen and give the vendor 1-2k gold (may vary so feel free to expirement yourselves).
    This will max their approval bar and make it so they sell/buy anything off you at a roughly 30% decrease/increase.
    Just remember to start to convo with your highest charisma character for beeg stonks 📈 .
    Also vendors seem to get new stock and more money whenever you level so it can be really good for offloading trash and getting upgrades as you progress through the game

    No. Don’t do that. Carry weight is useless since you can just send things to camp and probably have a party member with high strenght. Jumps are nice but not necessary for casters. And you should never, ever, make a melee attack as a caster. I’d MUCH rather have a 12 in wisdom, since 90% of all the worst saves hit on that. Plus it increases perception.

      I played all those back in the day, loved Icewind Dale 1 and 2 where you could play Heart of Fury from level 1. The feel is very similar, though the protagonist is new. Very strong usage of Skills, and a lot of reaction to your character's class and race. A lot of fights with interesting mechanics.

    Why spoilers m8. Could start with that. Look in the background. Can't you see what you're spoiling ? Nice try with a video anyway buuuut I can't watch anybody as people just keep doing this. I really would like to follow somebody who doesn't keep giving away the game's best bits.
