The only other time I've seen RT use even 3% of his full power was in Harthstone and even then he chained himself to the whims of Twitch Chat to make it fair for the rest of his rivals.
That's what I love about RT, he genuinely knows what he's doing to some extent. It's like he's playing with weights on and occasionally drops them and reveals his full power.

@@DaLatinKnight he used to go into like RPGs with a genuine spreadsheet of items, quests, things he wanted to do and shit so now he just plays to enjoy it. But his wacky gameplay relies on skill. He memes the final back to back in his Black Nuzlocke, no legendary and leading a Patrat for the joke. And he still won (with literally one pokemon alive)
I'm not really surprised he made it to top 4 I'm more so impressed with how easily he can maintain focus during a competition. Some of his strategies were very impressive as well encoring the T-Bolt into a dugtrio was definitely very smart move one that I probably wouldn't have seen as an option, good job Daniel you made some very impressive plays.
Making Ludwig transform into Corsola was also big brain. He played well most of the tourney and only got really cucked by RNG and the mons he got. Even then he pulled through in half of them
@@IncogRacc After seeing a lot of Daniel's content even circling back and seeing his TF2 content you don't really see him as the type who can maintain that level of focus for extended periods of time like during a competition but after seeing his nuzlockes I can definitely say he has more Pokemon expertise than the average variety content streamer so seeing him enter into the top 4 was not a huge surprise but I was very much impressed by his place since it takes a lot of focus and patience to plan your moves and predict your opponents he's shown he has both.
This was easily the most stressful stream I have ever watched. Whenever a move was used that wasn't 100% accuracy, there was always a big chance to miss
I love that RT is recognized enough by the Pokémon community to be invited to this and recognized by the Minecraft community to be invited to MCC. All around one of the most versatile gamers 👍🏼
That is genuinely impressive. Shows how much you played the games growing up. Only disappointment is you didn't take on Wolfey. I was hoping to see how you'd handle the "World Champ".
No offense to RT of course, but I feel like it would be very one sided. In the gens where RT was more comfortable, I could see it going even, but wolfey has much more experience with mechanics and general strategy. RT played well in the tounament, but coming from a competitive standpoint, he just doesn't have the experience in my eyes. I would like to see it though, and wolfey is great, so a potential collab would be lovely.
When I saw SmallAnt was your first opponent I was like "This is going to be a close match, but hopefully you win" because that man has done so many challenge runs that he knows so many cheeky strats inside and out. I got scared for you there
Honestly your call outs and predictions were absolutely insane. If your luck was a bit better at the end there I'm sure you would have made it to the finals.
The last thing I was expecting today was to watch RT absolutely _stream roll_ some of these legendary players - these are people who I've seen do absolutely insane shit in Pokémon, and RT takes them out just like that. I gotta admit it, I underestimated him. That was really badass! 😆

I have never shown any interest in Pokemon ever, haven't played any of the games and yet I sat through 40 minutes of this. Great video, congrats on top 4!
Congrats on a top 4 finish. In actual pokemon sanctioned tournaments, that would give you the points needed to continue so...technically this is still a win!
Based on what I gather from WolfeyVGC's video, you ended up going down to a player he considered to be among the top 3 threats of the tournament, and you went to the tie breaker at that. That's a pretty impressive showing, for a comedy/variety streamer, and the highest ranking non-PokeTuber.
I'd always thought of a idea where you would use your nuzlocke team in a huge pokemon tournament hosted by pokechallenges. This is the closest thing to my dream.
Interesting thing is that SmallAnt1 is incredibly good at creative solutions with limited resources. It'll be interesting to see how he does with practically infinite options.
I like them both but I feel like they have pretty different personalities though. Smallant is always competitive and RT mostly likes to fuck around. (Although sometimes his fucking around is competitive, like the 100% traffic efficiency spaghetti junction.) Other than Pokemon the only game they really have in common is Minecraft but idk if RT even really plays Minecraft normally since he only really streams community builds.

I play pokemon like someone blindfolded with a shotgun, so this was genuinely one of RT's most captivating vids I've ever watched. The mind of him! Would love to see more of this.
This was one of the most stressful things I’ve ever seen. Like I straight up was watching this like a sport’s tournament, chips and all. Great job absolutely taking down some of these big names RT!

Thanks for playing mons RT. As a competitve player starting to get into tournaments, it was a fun watch. Also I mained random battles for a about a year in gen 7 and held top 100 for a good few months, so I very much appreciate the difficulty of working with what you are given. I hope you play more pokemon at some point, I always love to watch.

I tried to get into competitive once but all the stuff there is to know honestly seems so overwhelming, however I do still appreciate watching others battle competitively!
I entered the Noita summit just for fun and it ended up being a speed run tournament against one of the best Noita speedrunners. I obviously wasn’t going to win but I actually was very close and was in the lead until the last minute where he got an insanely fast run in before time was up.

I think people tend to forget how strategic RT actually is. Was an absolute treat to show how smart you are at this game.
I never really played PvP Pokemon. I had no idea how much like chess it is, like he was legit thinking three moves ahead

The Articuno defeating Ho-Oh was absolutely incredible to see live, Dan chose patience over panic and it seriously paid off
