Long time YGO fan and you either have to have enough money to buy your whole deck with individual cards (URs are especially expensive or hard to get) or gamble on pulls. Master Duel solidifies my idea on this. Used to play Hearthstone like Dan as well and it's also kind of the same

honestly i think my favorite part of this is that you appreciate the art on the more common (or even just uncommon) cards. like YEAH the rares and holos and shinys and stuff are cool but the art is still nice on other cards too =) genuinely one of my favorite cards is the Goomy from Guardians Rising (part of the Alola run) where it's crocheted and very cute as a result

I feel so happy Nogla got excited over the holographic Zapdos I have had a similar card (It's in Portuguese tho) since scoring it from a garage sale around like age 7 when I began getting into pokemon cards. It was a bowl full of pokemon cards for only 25 cents a card. Being a young child with a single digit dollar allowance I believed I struck gold finding a legendary pokemon card and proudly bought it and showed it to my pokemon friends at school. But my fellow students at that time said it wasn't worth anything. Thankfully I still have it. It's in poor condition and really just eternally lives in a Jhoto legendaries mini sleve book I got around the same time I got said card.

@@artificialraspberify for psa 10s that were graded, grading costs so much the reason it's that much is simply because grading is a scam and the people are trying to get their money back. If you want a card that looks just as good unless you take it out of it's protective casing and look at it closely then you can easily get one for WAY cheaper.
The nostalgia at the end hit me. The two series Nogla opened at the end were my first ones into the pokemon trading card series. I remember opening them up with such awe as a little boy just happy to get the pokemon in a physical/tangible form. It was such a fun sight to see those packs again especially ending off with one of my favorites.
I like how RT not only called the fact that Nogla would also get an Eeveelution from the second Jungle Booster, but also called the exact one. (Granted, it was a 1 in 3 chance, but that’s still pretty impressive.)
