@@TastesLikeMusic No doubt about it. Fully understand the logic. You could spread it out across the year and do ten albums per video, that way the celebration could stretch out across the year, and build the suspense!
That seems too easy. I would do a top 1000 favorite albums (not necessarily ranked, as that seems like too much work), but limiting it to 1 album per band, so that 1000 bands would be featured.

I love the DM and Suede. Don't know most of that list though. As much as I love listening to music, I'm very bad about keeping up with modern music.
@@179rich Good morning, Rich! I’m happy to hear that. The DM and Suede albums are both fantastic late career accomplishments! If you give any of these other albums a listen, I hope you enjoy them. Hope you have a great weekend. 😊❤️🎶
@@michelewiese48 Same to you!
@@179rich Thanks! 😊
I don’t have that many records from the last 5 years, but I do have both your #1’s- both very good records, would have them 4-4.5 stars. My favorite record of the last 10 years is Burn Something Beautiful by Alejandro Escavedo, a surefire 5 stars. No five stars last 5 years
Just watched through #6 picks so far-
Nice to see BC Camplight and Laura Mvula in there. Wolf Alice is great- but feels more widely known.
Hushed & Grim didn't make my Top 10, but was on my list/video I made a few weeks ago.
Here's my top 10
1 Kevin Gilbert - Call Me Kai
2 Falling Up Presents: The Chilling Alpine Adventure
3 Giant Sky - Giant Sky
4 Toehider - I Have Little to No Memory of These Memories
5 Dirt Poor Robins - Deadhorse

7 Pat Metheny - From This Place
8 Gospel - The Loser
9 The Family Crest - The War: Act II

Hey Jason & Joe, recommend checking out my fav of this decade - “Cockroach in a Ghosttown” by Slang. Just total gold!
Thx for your suggestions!
Haven’t heard of that one. - Joe
hell yeah to Wednesday, wasn’t into their first album but that 2023 one really blew me away. Hoping they’re still kicking on even after MJ leaving.
MJ didn’t leave. He just has a solo career on the side.
1 Little Rope - Sleater-Kinney
2 Born Under a Mad Sign -Church of Misery
3 The Return of Tomorrow -Fu Manchu
4 The Serpent Tide -Witchskull
5 Night Parade of One Hundred Demons -Earthless
6 Innate Passage -Elder
7 Parasomnia -Qilin
8 Monuments -The Vintage Caravan
9 Moon Is -Heavy Blanket
10 The Singularity - Wo Fat
Who the hell are these bands? Mastodon's Hushed and Grim in my Top 15 or 20, so that's a clue. As are words like serpent and demons.
Very subpar decade of music so far overall (worse than 10s), but all of these are great and best I've heard so far:
1. Wolf Alice - Blue Weekend
2. Bob Dylan - Rough and Rowdy Ways
3. The War on Drugs - I Don't Live Here Anymore
4. Jack White - No Name
5. Remi Wolf - Big Ideas
Worse than 2010s, but the 2010s are my second favorite decade, so that’s not a huge slight. -Jason
@TastesLikeMusic guessing your fav decade is the 60s. So you prefer the 2010s to the 70s. Ok....
@suartgilmour4540 no. My favorite is the 70s. 60s would be 3rd.
@@TastesLikeMusic Yea the 10s has a lot of good stuff. I like a lot of stuff from the first part of the decade. The 70s/80s are my favorite (can't decide) and 90s are my second favorite. Was curious.. do you like Wolf Alice and Paramore?
Good choices! But subpar? I can think of 15 brilliant albums in 2024 alone.

Everyone is in love with Fontaine DC’s romance which is just a cheap imitation. - Joe
Alvvays has shoegaze influence, yet Joe doesn't like shoegaze. 🤪
