This band and tour(in europe) is my STRONGEST musical memory as a 16 year old fan… meeting the band in the back of the venue of klubben in Stockholm, Sweden. I remember all of the band members being SO DAMN NICE and spending a looong time with us, … and slash coming out last and stepping directly into a puddle and soaking his boots…. 😂 Man! Memories for LIFE! I got ”ain’t life grand” tattooed on my chest because of slash, this band, and this memory. I wish I could experience a reunion and these songs being played again at some point. 💚🙂

Rod had an amazing voice! Kicks ass performing. Live is where you see what they’ve GOT/and don’t (disappointed a few times). When they record in studio and (photoshop lol ) fix vocals to sell it sucks hard with the let down. That’s when I block and zone in on the music only. The music is what grabs me well before the lyrics. The music speaks to me first. Vocals are a plus and always much appreciated when you see them LIVE and it’s better than in studio/recorded. Always dug Rod's singing on "Ain't Life Grand" and have recommended that album to sooo many peeps over the years. After watching this video, I'm an even bigger fan of Rod's singing, damn what a powerful voice!!!!
Man, I first got to this album to hear Slash playing and then discoverd a whole awesome band, this lineup is pure rock. It's a shame that this album is not that famous.
I like Rod's voice on the album version, but it annoys "me" live, too many screaming outside lyrics and over Slash's solos for my taste. Something similar happened with Scott on VR he tended to sing and talk over Slahs's solos and I personally don't like that

Rod sounds great here but this is the closest show to Slash's near-death due to his drinking. He was in bad shape here, and you can tell he's much healthier in the shows after April 2001. I think Dallas was the best performance of the tour, check it out if you haven't.

This was a great band... I wish they would have done more records together...too bad singer was a junkie... guitarist was annoying about getting publishings so much and bassist just wanted to party...oh yeah...slash had a heart attack during this tour....given 10 days to live and thankfully he still here giving us kick ass music....
Amazing show, amazing band but for me the first Line Up was better: Drover: vocals Gilby Clarke: rythm guitar Slash: lead guitar Mike Inez: bass Matt Sorum: drums.
