Exactly, last night we just got unlucky. Halland had a header cleared off the line and we had other chances that could have put us 2 or 3 up. We had twice as many shots on goal, almost 73% posession and almost three times as many touches in their box they had in ours. City's main problem is we can't defend. We need a defensive coach. We might need to become a counter attacking team for half a season and reset. We need to learn to defend much much better
The problems we are facing are multifaceted & structural and of our own making: - Pep continued poor decision making both tactically and from a personnel standpoint - Poor planning and recruitment by Txiki and the board and perhaps Pep too. Allowing great players to leave and not replacing them with equally as good player necessitates a drop in performance. - Poor risk mitigation in the the form of identifying our weakest link and accounting for it: no proper backup for Rodri The only problem NOT of our own making are the injuries. But if their effect could have been mitigated to a degree had there been better player recruitment and planning in place
Man City cycle: 1) Start the season well 2) Yearly Dip in November December January and give hope to other teams of winning. 3) lose 0 games February onwards 4) Win the league again 5) Repeat.
Love the optimism. But the issues this season are structurally different in both number and breadth - No Rodri (no suitable backup) - KDB more injury prone than ever (no one picking up the slack) - Pep future ends when season does (hopefully not but as it stands) - Poor tactics and decisions by Pep this whole season have made player problems worse - More injuries than we’ve ever had in a season - Poor recruitment for 2 transfer windows is now catching up to us Unless the board get serious and buy some ready made top notch players in Jan, Pep has a rethink of his tactics and becomes way more adaptive like he did in the treble season, we could run the risk of not even making top 4 if we continue to play like we have been.
Pep has done incredible things at this club but it’s high time he listens to the fans. We need a new DM & a Haaland back up. Selling Alvarez and replacing him with thin air is peak stupidity. Also, Pep needs to make early subs when we’re losing. Never understood the concept of playing the same team until 80th min when nothing is going right.
Pep could start by adjusting how many city players considering the injuries. He chose to play a teen CB instead of just puttting gvardiol at CB and Ake at LB
we've lost 3 games and everyone is turning on the players that won us all these trophies and made those iconic moments, absolutely disgusting behaviour you guys seriously need to get a grip of your emotions and realize we can't be the undeniable best team at all times, stop being delusional and throwing tantrums, as if any of us know what's happening and what's best for the team we'll bounce back
I understand what you're saying that the players won us all these trophies but now since they've won all those trophies for the club it's like they don't care anymore (mainly the defense) and that's not the right mentality to have, look at the penalties we conceded yesterday, it's like they didn't care about conceding goals, I try to stay positive but there's nothing to be positive about rn, I'm not demanding the players to win trophies but they can at least try, and also all of you are scared to blame the manager and it's ridiculous, when we win we praise him and when we play badly we have to call him out
If you Google it you’ll see that Ederson has saved quite a few penalties in normal play and shootouts but he’s not as good as Martinez at Villa. Passing is his forte
Haaland standing in the penalty box for 90 mins being marked by 3 defenders and waiting on perfect passess needs to change. Get him involved in the attack or we will struggle to score goals. Kyogo has other elements to his game that will help make our attack more fluid.
Do you not understand this is all Peps instructions? Haaland is much better in a fast attacking team. Pep wants to play 60 side passes and inch up the pitch to pin opponents back though
City were all over the place last night, Savio had no end product, looked great wing play but never found a player...Halland what, penalty miss....among others no organization in the team.THEY WERE A MESS IN THE SECOND HALF...
We lost to Fullham if the troare chances werent missed and against wolves it was a last minute ''controversial goal'' and we were soo bad against bournemouth and deserved to lose and we were also horrible against tottenham and the way that second half was played against southampton I coudnt believe I was watching ''man city''. I think we might have a real major crisis
Jesus 😂do you know what you are saying??? Aguero wasn’t a January signing bro ,plz get your facts straight He’s a end of season signing and e came on as a substitute in his first game and scored two goals 😂That same season early on,Tevez refused to come on as a sub against Bayern while we were losing and he was banished, cos Aguero was already in our team 😂
The fake fans are in chaos 😂😂😂. But I'm more inspired than ever cuz, pep just said, he's liking this 😂😂😂 I have a bad feeling of what's gonna happen in the January window. If nothing happens, then a win streak is gonna happen 😂🎉. I believe in Pep ❤
To see what Haaland’s problem is, to get a bit of familiarity, to get something out the game, if just holes in the gameplay, was the value of bringing in KDB without risking him excessively
Am going to be honest with you I seen a few positives behind the negatives collectively were in interesting situation this the challenge that will fuel pep for rest of the year A lot of other big clubs are also not playing well

City needs to be proactive in the January window if they wanna salvage this season, a proper cdm that can come in hit the ground running and a backup striker for Haaland bcuz he look worn out.
We should have bought backups to Haaland and Rodri. I wonder if you need faster defenders if you’re playing such a high line. Pusey should have started against Spurs instead of Sporting, which would have meant Stones could have played last night.
Hi Jonny. In my humble opinion, things will get worse before they get better BUT City will come out of this rut stronger than ever. Remember, some things are outt of the Club's hands. We might have to endure much leaner times for a couple of seasons but believe me, the "glory years" are not gone just yet. I remember the City of the 1980's. If you had told me back then that we would have the success of recent years I would have thought you had completely lost the plot. KEEP THE FAITH. CITY FOREVER BLUEMOON PHIL

Its not looking regardless. It is not about loosing it’s about performances. Our performances are worse than any other year and we are very predictable. Will have to resign players. Current players needs to reboot or leave because they are all tired

We've got the players and the build up, but its just our strike force. They are not being clinical and putting away the final shot. And our defence gets beaten time and again. This needs to change.
City are plagued by injuries we lost a tight game away at spurs in the darling cup with a load of youth team players arguably the better side then we lost by one goal at Bournemouth last night we could have had that game put to bed they had two penalties and six shots on goal scored 4 football can be like that !
