Good morning Fellas!
You guys are like my morning cup of ….. brew! Thank you for staying late on Tuesday!!!
Have a wonderful 4th!!!
New York City made the correct decision in not installing congestion tolls. Businesses are already consistently vacating NYC because of rent prices, property valuations, and overzealous laws requiring license on top of license on top of license to operate. Louis Rossmann operated a repair shop for over a decade in NYC, but it was a series of paperwork, fines, and an inability to communicate with the city about the fines that caused him to relocate his business.
'pro-business' is the new 'anti-labour'
I had no idea prediction markets were a thing- so cool! Might have to try it out 😝
Enjoy the 4th, boys!
FYI, all vehicle sales are down. There's this thing called interest rates.
1. Other companies are showing higher EV growth on a low base. Tesla is suffering from being too successful.
2. Despicable Me 4 and themed-popcorn buckets. What are their margins and how much money do they make? Can these be collectibles in the future?
3. Greece moves to a 6-day work week. This is to combat a demographic crisis. 500,000 young, educated Greeks have left the country since the 2009 debt crisis.
To answer #2 - my thought is that the minion bucket probably has less of a margin that food and bev because it's a cobranded item so if a large bucket normally around $20 and this is $30 I'd guess the studio takes $6 (or 20%) and the cost of the inputs are $3-$4 so a 67% profit margin
@@hwadeiv interesting.
I was thinking about the unit economics for the studio, not the theatre-chain.
Will it add substantially to their top line?
@IshaanCH24 For the studio, yes. However, I think products like the minion bucket would be under licensing and merchandise rather than adding to the top line of box office sales.
Are you two seeing each other?
