Appreciate the efforts, even the Indians critics don't put much effort to highlight the regional cinema and all the hardwork you did on the video. Thanks a lot.
Finally, got the chance to watch this documentary today. One of the best videos made on the topic of Indian cinema. You put a lot of work into this video and covered the history of Indian cinema in full. This video deserves much-much more views. Waiting for more quality videos like this.
wow, thank you for this, this is so well-made and well-researched! I really appreciate the amount of effort that must have gone into this, i even learned some stuff i didn't know, and have quite a few films to check out now! i have some nitpicks (for example: the language is hindi with an i, hindu is a religion, although some use it as an ethnicity as well) but they're small-scale stuff tbh. overall, this is pretty great, and i really appreciate it!
Thank you for the kind words!! I believe maybe it’s the pronunciation that made it sound like Hindu to you but I did say Hindi. Unless you’re talking about the part where I mention Hindustani which is something different (a mix of Hindi and Urdu). Either way, thank you so much for watching.
Thanks for this because I learned somethings I didn’t know before. About 20 years ago, I got really sick and my wife picked me up a bunch of foreign films from our library and one was a Malayan film entitled Praja starting Mohanlal. It was very different from what I’ve sat through before, but it was entertaining enough. She then picked some other films from India, but I’ll be honest; I quickly found that the movies were too long and I didn’t understand some of the cultural significance so I stopped exploring Indian’ cinema. Fast forward to last year when I couldn’t help but click on RRR and I did get a kick out of it. I understand there are different themes and preferences per language and culture, but I do think we are moving into a new golden age of Indian cinema!
