i picked one up just a few hours ago at walmart because i wanted to start getting into rc drifting. this is probably the most advanced rc car ive ever bought. i didnt expect AWD and USB rechargable batteries. more rc cars should be like this. my only concern is where do i buy more drift tires once these are used up?
It has no suspension and steering needs to be a little more sensitive for precise drifting (its lock to lock). The steering has a tendency to lock up in some cases. otherwise this is a very well engineered toy! I took it apart and put it back together a couple times and the build quality is quite impressive. hope you refresh this toy a little bit more money would be worth it for some simple suspension and perhaps a servo although I saw that your steering box has a servo like gear box the gearing is supposed to be progressive. Nice work guys hope you keep up the good quality! also you guys should put the boost button behind the throttle trigger so that you can click it more easily. trust me I did it.

I got one like 1 or 2 years ago and now ive lowered it and renover the front and back bumper and removed the spoiler i recommend doing this it looks so good

Why does it bog at full throttle? I thought I had a bad one but bought another and its the same. Watched your video and when you pulled the trigger yours bogged too! What the hell is wrong with them? Only way to keep it going is turbo. Very disappointing.

Mine is having the same issue. I think it's just a burnt motor. You can possibly buy a new one with the same gearing and hire someone to solder it back to the car.
If you live near massachussetts ( where I live ) in fitchburg there is a rc hobby shop where they fix them free for you and you can race it on a track they have there and you can rent cars to drive on the track and you can buy cars, if you don't live near massachussetts there is probably a rc hobby shop near you.
My son has this car and loves it. Problem is, one of the wheels fell off just now. I can't find the little black screw anywhere. Other than trying to match it with a screw from a hardware store I was curious to see if you guys sold spare parts from your website.
We just bought this and it isn't pairing. The red light on the car only blinks a single time and then turns off. The red light on the remote blinks constantly for a bit, then turns off. What do we do now?
Has anybody noticed the pain job is wrong on this rc? The side door black paint extends too far, and the front hood black strip does not connect to the bumper. I scrolled through a few comments and didn't see any mention of this. The image on the back of the box is accurate, but the car in the box has it wrong.
hmm well its because the steering servo is just a simple motor that wasn't designed for steering. they attempted to replicate a servo but the gears aren't progressive so the motor got too hot and is now dead.
@@juice885 - if you experience any problems I think theres A warranty And Jada will be happy to replace it. Jada doesn't recommend taking the car apart as it will void the warranty. But if you want to fix it yourself, the motor is a FK130-10330-38 1.5 - 3 volt . It's a pretty standard looking motor. If thats broken then its a cheap fix. If the steering actuator (output driver) goes out then you might have to do some soldering. In my experience its normally what overheats and burns out due to the stress caused by extensive use. Again like I said in my first post, what I think is at fault is that the gears in the "steering box" are a consistent tread width so they aren't converting Torque at all. the poor motor is then forced to work too hard and somewhere along the circuit the heat will kill the steering. If you want the steering to survive, try to pause or take a cool down lap every 8 mins or so, to preserve the life time of the circuitry. - In regards to the charging a little light near the USB charging port should change. Depending on the year it was produced the charge indicator should go form flashing (charging) to solid(done), or form on (charging) to off (done). Every battery is different but 40 mins plus or minus 10. Hope this helps and remember..... its a cheap toy so don't be too hard on Jada. They make some pretty high quality toys for the price they are charging.
I think the steering is with the gears I fixed it with the off road one by putting some aluminium foil in the gears and it worked but I don’t want to break the warranty shhhhhhhtuff

@@smokegoodeatbetter9872 pull off the 4 plastic tabs holding down the shell, then unscrew the 4 phillips screws to open the circuit board housing. check for loose wires. sometimes the solder joints break loose from board or small motor on rear wheel. the independent motor on the rear powers both front and rear wheels with a plastic drive shaft.
I got the brians skyline drift rc and it didn't come charged and when the car is fully charged I play for a 1 minute and I got Hans rx and they he lasts longer

Get a hobby grade if you are short on money get the (Red Cat lightning EXP drift) I have one and its a much better package but much more expensive. This car is more of a toy only because the steering isn't sensitive enough. but if you don't care for tandem drifting then this car is decent on a wide drift track its actually very fun and well engineered mostly.
i got it today and it's cool, it depends how serious you wanna get. This is a fun short term option. Do not buy this expecting it to last a long time, you might get a 1-2 months out of it before the steering craps out. Obviously if you spend 300+ dollars then it will last a long time. I got this to see if i would like a good drift car

That’s a constant problem with your rc cars after only a few days the steering fails
