- Kurt Cobain passed away on April 5, 1994. On September 8, 1994, Nirvana won the award for Best Alternative Video for "Heart-Shaped Box". This was Dave Grohl's response to winning the award and missing Kurt.

He was a bassist. They’re a dime a dozen. The only way you become a bassist in a band that’s either going somewhere or is established, is through someone you know. It’s called nepotism…… pretty common in entertainment.

Losing a friend is like losing family. Dave,Krist and Kurt's mom had it worse. Knowing Dave thinks all the times they played at concert venues and off tours all three Kurt,Dave and Krist were happy and doing a lot of pranks and more. Even Dave said it best when Kurt came out from his coma and the words from Dave " I don't want you to die." Even though Kurt was going through turmoil with Courtney that might of put him over the edge.

Yes...to be honest I think smashing pumpkins disarm should have won though. The videos that smashing pumpkins came out with were great and disarm is such a beautifully written song.
