    This aged well. James Conrad is going to have these sold out after that Worlds birdie. Glad I’m stocked up! Such a great disc.

    I love both the envy and the proxy! I bag them both, and I feel like that gives me the perfect stability range for throwing putters. They provide a very consistent feel in hand even across the two different molds. Excellent review, friend!

    Best all around disc I’ve ever used. If I had to chose one disc for an entire course, this would be it. Great review!

    Fabulous review. I picked up a couple (Electron Medium, Neutron) based on this review, and have been throwing them around the past couple of days. Very impressed and I’m thinking they could immediately remove four discs from my bag. As a throwing putter, they glide forever. Thanks for the review.

      Glad you're enjoying them. As you say, they are so versatile and I use mine for so many shots.

      I have them in every plastic. For driving, thevproton/glow is by far the easiest to control and holds it's line the best

    Very nicely done video! I just started building a gyro bag and my first discs were two electron firm Envys. Will be getting a premium plastic one as soon as they become available again.

      Soft Neutron Envy is by far my favourite these days.

    MVP is making some fantastic product right now that a lot of the newer 2020 disc golf players are starting to pick it up quickly. Lots of the newer players (and more and more of the veterans) in my Club are throwing MVP/Axiom/Streamline plastic.

    I have two with hard plastic and two soft ones. It is nice putter, but like any other disk. The way you use it is the most important thing!
    I like Atom more, because it is even flatter, so I like it in my forehand, but envy works Also well in forehands... so matter of taste just like every disk is!

    Except for a month or two, after I first started playing more seriously about 3 years ago, when I was using Yikun's beginner putter, Claws, and DX Aviars, the Axiom Envy has been my main putter and also a frequent approach disc. The Envy was very comfortable to throw as I come from an Ultimate background and I like how it generally holds whatever line you put it on.
    I also use an Yikun Hammer (OS putt and approach disc) for flex shot approaches and putts as well as headwind putts.

      what plastic is better in your opinion?

  • @discaddicts

    Good review, so if I was looking to use as a throwing putter that's on the overstable side what plastic/weight would you recommend?

    • @DiscGolfDownUnder
      @DiscGolfDownUnder  3 года назад

      Max weight soft neutron. I've got the Envy now in every plastic. Soft neutron is the most stable and I'm on the hunt for another one. They are hard to get at the moment.

    Thanks for the review!
    Question - What's the durability like in the firm Electron? I'd hate to buy one for more understable shot shapes, but end up taking it out after a months because its gotten so chewed and nicked up from trees, concrete, etc.

    • @DiscGolfDownUnder
      @DiscGolfDownUnder  Год назад +1

      Not a huge difference across the soft, medium and firm electron blends. I feel the hard electron can handle torque better but that's just a personal observation.

      Pretty late to this but I found my neutron soft proxy and my electron envy to have similar stability so you could try that instead if you don’t want a base plastic

    Was unable to pick up an envy however I found an atom from mvp 3;3;0.5;0 and it’s great. Don’t know if I’ve found my groove or if the atom is just that good but my putting game is solid now. I should test my skill by pulling up my twenty year old aviar however I just keep pulling that atom out of the bag.

    • @DiscGolfDownUnder

      I used to putt with Atoms before switching to Envys. Nothing wrong with the Atom, great putter.

    • @hiddenleaf414
      @hiddenleaf414 2 года назад

      I’m actually looking at possibly switching from putting with the Envy to the Atom.
      Looking for something a little less stable but still the same flat top and shallow rim as the Envy. I just haven’t been able to see or get my hands on a Atom.

    I never knew the hype behind the Envy so the first MVP putter I bought was the ION in the R2 Neutron because of how it looked. R2 Neutron is recycled Neutron and feels very similar to Soft Neutron. It’s a tad gummier than normal neutron. Flight numbers 2/3/0/1.5 After a year with that disc it is absolutely LAZER straight and easily my most trustworthy reliable disc. With the Envy’s numbers being so similar I want to go get a few now and try them out. I’m not sure if it would be a bad or good thing if they replaced my ION… 😂

    • @DiscGolfDownUnder
      @DiscGolfDownUnder  2 года назад

      I now use the Ion as my putting putter. Similar but different. The Envy is a much shallower disc. For me now ‐ Ion inside C2 and Envy outside C2.

    • @rogerurbanek1564
      @rogerurbanek1564 2 года назад

      @@DiscGolfDownUnder That’s interesting that the envy is shallower than the Ion. I have a streamline stabilizer 3/3/0/3.5 that is very deep and I don’t like that feature and I feel that the Ion is quite a bit shallower than that so I don’t know how much more shallow you can get with the Envy. I’ll pick one up from a local retailer next week when they get their new shipment of the MVP Glitch in. You should look at that disc too. Literally came out this month.

    It’s a good throwing disc but honestly I prefer the Proxy, it feels flatter and more accurate outside circle 1. I know quite a lot of people who feel the same way.

    • @DiscGolfDownUnder
      @DiscGolfDownUnder  3 года назад

      I have a soft Neutron Proxy for those longer putts where I want the disc to stay straighter.
