I think one flat twist going up the middle will look good. Then she could pin it and roller set the remaining hair so it matches the top/front. That's my opinion, though.
+AmbitiousJemz I do this style myself. I don't really like the twist up the back for myself because my hair is colored and I don't like the break in the colors so I do a tuck and roll in the back so it is smooth. Maybe you could try that. Have a good day.

+Heywin Yitagesu I know exactly what you mean...I've been trying something with my bonnet and it's been working pretty well...when I put my bonnet on, I take my hand and reach under the bonnet and gently smooth my hair down so that it's not bunched up underneath, and when I take it off in the morning I just shake it and do a little more fluffing...I went from getting one day out of my styles to getting 3 or 4 days.

I had them on an app for natural hair styles for black women in my old phone that caught a virus. I'm glad you're back to it again. I was trying to find the perfect hair style for my wedding that fit my face. A lot of your styles I used to do when I was in my teens and 20's with natural hair. It so happened that this style was the one my daughter picked out for me. She saw a picture of me with that style on a CD cover from a 94 concert and she loved it. Every style you do looks very good on you. Keep them coming I enjoy watching your videos. I just got to find that app again. God bless.

I tried it recently, and I loved it! Since I didn't have perm rods, I did a Bantu knot out on top instead, and it turned out nice! I'll have to do it again sometime!

+Strawberryswirrl collarbone is medium or short-medium. Medium is about below shoulder to armpit. Mid-back or longer is considered long. Short is ear to above shoulders. And this is for straight hair. Curly hair of course is shorter.
