I think one flat twist going up the middle will look good. Then she could pin it and roller set the remaining hair so it matches the top/front. That's my opinion, though.
+AmbitiousJemz I do this style myself. I don't really like the twist up the back for myself because my hair is colored and I don't like the break in the colors so I do a tuck and roll in the back so it is smooth. Maybe you could try that. Have a good day.

Her hair is more flourished then people's lives lol I love it though. My young daughter is natural and naptural85 gives me so much inspiration for ideas to keep my little ones hair versatile and still healthy.
I'm definitely gonna give this a try. I've been wanting to do more updos now that the weather is cooling off in order to protect my ends. This is a great one that I should still be able to put on a hat and just let the curls hang out in the front. It reminds me of a style I did during my transitioning days. Thanks for sharing!

I was trying to find the perfect hair style for my wedding that fit my face. A lot of your styles I used to do when I was in my teens and 20's with natural hair. It so happened that this style was the one my daughter picked out for me. She saw a picture of me with that style on a CD cover from a 94 concert and she loved it. I tried it recently, and I loved it! Since I didn't have perm rods, I did a Bantu knot out on top instead, and it turned out nice! I'll have to do it again sometime!

My hair has been growing out of a tapered twa for a year now, so I have have some ways to go before I can do this with my own hair. Luckily I just ordered some natural clip ins, so maybe I can give this look a try with those ☺️
