Actually when the 1:1 trucks do that kind of driving( high speed turns and spreed runs) the tire will raise as well.. So that would actually be a scale feature.. this is why Sway bars are on cars, not crawlers or trail trucks. You need the flex for climbing and crawling.. Very cool mod if you're staying on flat surfaces though... Thanks for sharing.. :)
Works great on pavement, but how does it do on dirt and the trails? Also, could you do another video showing it turning left and right in the same run? Stability is good at high speed, but certainly you'd be at a disadvantage in the rocks, no?
it worked even greater at the local rock racing track. In the test pavement video I did made it go in circles in both directions. go to 8:05 for left turns and go to 8:20 for the right turn circles around the pole. See my previous "get more flex" video how the scx10II is flexing at 5/1/2 inch, like way way more than stock of 4 inches. This sway bar limits the flex back to more or less as the same as stock but with the added benefit of long suspension drop and plush ride over rocks. i spent all day yesterday on the rock racing track and the everyone (including myself) amazed by its performance on the rocks and around track. i enjoyed so much of it driving more than the bomber on the same track as well. i will be back in another week dedicated for shooting videos so by then i will be able to show it in action.
No, I saw the circles, but what I was hoping was you'd quickly go from one direction to the other. Not a problem. Definitely curious to see more, but I'm generally a fan of less overall travel. Nice innovating!
Scale Builder's Guild thanks man. Judging by how big a smile I get on my face when I am behind the wheel is the simple way I rate my RC. And I gotta say this rig and current setup really stressed out my facial muscles from smile lol. I can't wait til next weekend to shoot the action video
Nice, I had to use piano wire on my RC10 Team car and it made a world of different, on a real car when turning hard it will roll in to deep and the other wheel will lift thus losing a lot of traction. I trail my Rig i have no need for speed with my Vaterra ascender. Good video👌
Dean Cory trust me I don't lack any spare motor+ esc sensored or not sitting around. I just feel that this stock AE-5 with 27t motor is very good for this rig's weight and the trails/track I go to. More speed or power in this rig takes away the scale performance character in my opinion.
dubbleportion works awesome in the rock..check it out ..ssshh..this video is not yet released to public but it is here for your preview only:) ruclips.net/video/2fuegx1fXEY/видео.html
great mod going to try it myyself great vid keep them coming love the jk man looks great. iv always had the problem of front wheel coming up just under power
SheckyMoskowitz sharpie paint pen in white from local craft store. They don't hold up at all when getting on the rocks. Lol but it is super easy to touch up and I usually just touch up for the camera. Lol
Radiocontroled adventures he is using the stock scx10 2 esc. it is called the ae5 esc. I believe it is a hobby wing esc but it says axial on it. I use it and i like it. you can change the drag brake by moving a peg thing on 3 metal prongs. 2 prongs are i believe 50% brake and the other 2 are 100%. 50 is barely braking but I keep mine on 100%. It is waterproof out of box and it is cheap. I have one in my scx10 and my 2nd scx10 for if a friend is with me has the original castle esc but branded as axial and they are pretty close in performance for my trailing at least. the castle esc makes a loud high pitched noise though and costs more. I would rather the ae5 but I am going to use the castle one till it burns out. I wouldn't use a 3s lipo on either of them.
That's what I thought as well. But it does help for climbing, keeps that front wheel for coming up. Not so great on trail crawling, but that's where the quick disconnect play a great part.
Volts auto installs jlozeau I make a video on what I do just more for everyone. I take it to the trail (sway bar disconnected) but also I take it the rock racing track (sway bar connected) to get the best of both world. Hate it or love info and how-to is here for you.
i did a very similar setup on my wraith and my honcho works really well
Robert Rosson nice! I am definitely not the first to do this that for sure.
Bro, why no new videos! Sik production, need more!!
Thank you for the support but life happens.
damn that little cherokee is bad ass i never seen an rc car like that. cool
cool!

+RcNickster hence the quick disconnect option just like it in 1:1 rig. This is so we can have fun both in the trail and in the rock racing tracks.
what a great addition to the rig!
Such a great idea! Now the rig will be more stable 👊🏼😎🚙

Asssssssssssssssssssssssscender
Dude.. that's a f*cking great idea! Congrats! Gonna try the same on mine! :)
Rodrigo Ribeiro Barbosa thanks man
Dont know where u get the time to come up with such great ideas but thx!
Awesome idea! And looks like it works well too! Thanks for sharing this tip
That sway bar worked really good.
Doesn't ir affect the travel of the front suspension?
Also wondering the same
Very cool on the sway bar. You would think Axial would have done this while testing the vehicle?
haha thanks man..i know right axial could have done it with an add-on kit
great presentation, nice work 👍 👍 👍 👍 excellent, thank for sharing
if you want speed and crawling, go sensored brushless
Dean Cory trust me I don't lack any spare motor+ esc sensored or not sitting around. I just feel that this stock AE-5 with 27t motor is very good for this rig's weight and the trails/track I go to. More speed or power in this rig takes away the scale performance character in my opinion.
Muy pero muy cnido tu jeep cnerokees esta muy cnida en donde la compraste
That's a great idea!
can u space the wheels out to make the center of gravity lower?
Thanks for sharing your ideas keep up the good work
I don't see the plate where you mounted the d-rings on my scx10 ii. Any advice?
Clint M right it was just a piece of plastic, I cut it to fit to then mount to existing holes on the chassis
Thanks!
ya i noticed the rig did 3 wheel.
goooood call
Quak Rc most people fix with heavy weight oil but that takes away scale suspension travel
JPRC that's exactly what I did, killed the crawling experience.
good axial
I'm having trouble finding a nice body I like for my scx10ii where and what body is that
That’s the stock axial Cherokee XJ boat that came with the kit version of 10.2
nice for going in circles how about in the rocks ?
dubbleportion works awesome in the rock..check it out ..ssshh..this video is not yet released to public but it is here for your preview only:) ruclips.net/video/2fuegx1fXEY/видео.html
Good work man!
great mod going to try it myyself great vid keep them coming love the jk man looks great. iv always had the problem of front wheel coming up just under power
Great idea, thankyou for sharing that with us.
If you use a Traxas slash 4x4 platinum edition sway at will it work the same
right..they are are the same stuff
Is that stock Jeep body? Bad ass Jeep
What's the brand and spec of your BFGoodrich K02's?
North Side Custom RC they really axial r35 compound.
Good job.
will the gmade Komodo have the same problem?
Safiy Rehman pretty much yes. Most people just put heavy weight oil in to prevent body roll but that takes away plush scale suspension travel
Thanks
I'm looking to get a scx10 ii, should I get a kit or rtr?
that random guy 420 69 rtr
can I ask what did you paint tire letters with and how does it hold up
SheckyMoskowitz sharpie paint pen in white from local craft store. They don't hold up at all when getting on the rocks. Lol but it is super easy to touch up and I usually just touch up for the camera. Lol
oh cool I got ya. Been building my score tt and looking for some way to do it and it hold up like real tires
big thumbs up!
Another thing is that this is a scale vehicle. A 1:1 scale jeep would act the same way as the non sway bar.
Dean Cory 1:1 scale keep also have quick disconnect system and this mod is done to exactly mimic that
Very Informative Thanks
nice vid!!
What esc are u using I am buying a kit and would like to know

Pink?
can someone explain how this works?
great question. here is good read auto.howstuffworks.com/question432.htm we basically applied it on the RC scale level
JPRC thanks!
where to purchase this sway bar?
Ronald Choy links in description
Introduce me to aliexpress, I can't find on ebay
Are you from China?
No more body roll, no more articulation either.
I’m guessing it’s no coincidence you don’t show any footage of it crawling.
That's what I thought as well. But it does help for climbing, keeps that front wheel for coming up. Not so great on trail crawling, but that's where the quick disconnect play a great part.
it's a trail truck..you don't need a anti-sway bar.
Volts auto installs jlozeau I make a video on what I do just more for everyone. I take it to the trail (sway bar disconnected) but also I take it the rock racing track (sway bar connected) to get the best of both world. Hate it or love info and how-to is here for you.
I think you made it worse, it is not a racing car it is a crawler
Thus the quick disconnect giving it a wider versatility and maintaining the ability to crawl and have full articulation in about 5 seconds.
