- Fellow film photography RUclipsr @YvonneHansonPhotography and I have joined forces for this new podcast, Blank Frame! This is a very raw pilot episode, but I wanted to share. Things have been so incredibly busy building Piney Woods Darkroom, but here we are while I take a break from plumbing darkroom sinks.
What do you think? What things would you like us to talk about? Thanks for trying out our first episode!

YAFPP! Yet Another Film Photography Podcast!! So cool! Really enjoyed it! Please keep it up!! 👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎞️📷
So excited for the launch of this!!! Thanks so much for collaborating on it!!
You're welcome, and I am too!! THANK YOU! Can't wait to really get things figured out.
Thanks for using my music Jamie! Glad to see you are doing this!
You're very welcome, and thank you for making it and making it available! Hopefully we can find a footing and help people have something to continue their film podcast listening with.
I'm excited for Yvonne's modern day fuji hunt for animal chin. I doubt she'll find a magical fuji film plant, but at least tracking down people and the travel will be entertaining.
Agreed! Definitely looking forward to what she sees and what she can make there.
Fun idea to make a podcast! Congrats on the darkroom!
Thank you!! You're obviously welcome if you're ever in Texas. :)
Talk about all of it and also whatever you two want.
Just my thoughts on gear talk is that it’s universal in all occupations/hobbies.
Popular tech reviews are mostly about the devices vs what you can make with it digitally. As in laptops, phones, tablets. Then a whole other RUclips channel group that talks about what you can make with the software. Or car mechanics channels that are dedicated to tools. Then car mechanics channels focused on the actual fixing of the car.
The “gear” channels seem to get more traffic than the “making” channels in every instance.
I think you two are both well suited for podcast format. I have seen both of your solo channels and like them both. I can see why you two would be great together.
My vote is for you to keep it going 😊
Awesome, I really appreciate that! And you have a great point about gear obsession being pretty much universal ... anyone looked at musicians ever? ha ha. And yeah, the "gear" channels are definitely a YT priority. It's hard to tell if that's engineered fully or if that's really just how it is. Thank you for listening/watching, and commenting!!
To quote a very wise man, this was a tasty “photography smoothie” lol. As you mentioned towards the end, the shelf life of HC-110 is great, and that’s why it’s my BW developer of choice.
Thank you! haha. And indeed! It, Rodinal, and 510 Pyro cover just about all of my needs without worrying so much about expiration dates.
Yay! Love this
Thank you! And thank you for watching/listening!
There's a company called Midwest Film Co. that's down in Kansas that develops ecn2 film in ecn2 chemicals for $8 a roll
Oh yeah! I forgot about them. Thank you for reminding me.
🌹 "Promo sm"
I didn't really care for the thing that pops up saying "blank frame". It's kind of distracting.
Duly noted.
