We were there in December 2023 and spent our holidays from LAX. We took the beautiful long trolley ride from St Pete’s Beach to Clearwater. It was Free zero cost due our stayed at RumFish Resort @Tradewinds, complimentary offers to the every guests.
I took pictures, eat at the beach and walked around down were Hilton Hotel.
I am broken 💔 to see Florida this way. We took Sun Runner Bus around the city and downtown to St. Petersburg’s Beach, another complimentary offer from our hotel.
From California USA 🇺🇸 on October 7, 2024, Monday morning. My heart goes out to all who have been affected and impacted with this powerful Helene Hurricane not only in Florida.

Thank you SO much for doing this. My family has spent decades of summers in CB. This hurricane will definitely take its toll on a place we hold dear. If possible...I would love to see the north end of the beach going to Caladesi Island ❤

Wouldn't it be better to leave the huge sand piles in place, to act as a buffer from advancing Hurricane Milton?

It's loose sand so it will just push further onto the streets and into buildings. Dunes have saw grass and the roots keep the sand in place. Clearwater is only 3 blocks deep so that loose sand will end up in the bypass causing sandbars that are dangerous to boats

What will happen to those sand dune ? Will they get blown further towards building ?

Im worried about all the trash people left outside getting into the waters. Probably cant go boating/fishing
