Got to love the cats, well most of the time...LOL... I've waded thew some black beauty piles, not yet removed by bobcats in dry dock before. now some of that is done by water jetting attachments, the heat created drys within 15 feet behind with the painters following. A blast cabnet is on the wish list, might create my own, now that I have the PlasmaCAM. Looks like free sand is like free wood... LOl...
@submarineboat Of corse, they want you to buy more...LOL... just have to sift out the chunks! need to find a yard near you that throws it away, back in my stomping grounds I could of helped you out, the closes to me is off cape and uses beach sand, most of the time...

@KEF791 Wish I knew a place where I could salvage some back beauty. They say you can't reuse it but I have in my little Harbor Freight pot and I could not tell the difference between new and 3rd time around.
+Steve Day It occurs in workers from mines, foundries, sandblasting, and glass manufacturing. People with constant unprotected exposure. I don't think anyone here is going to make a 20 year, 40 hour a week career of screening sand in there back yard.
Thanks for the simple screening rig! No more shaking a hand held sifting box for me!

That sifter works great. Gravity power all the way...throw a small motor with an off center weighted wheel for a shaker and your all set.
WOW,
You are an inventor par excellence!
Well done, Well done

@uni blab hello, do you need sand dryer?
good info, thanks
is it possible to use beach sand? thank you for the reply
mindfreak001009 Absolutely. But I think you'd want to quickly follow that up with a pressure washer with fresh water.

Thanks Doug, what angle is optimal?
No sure, I just nailed that thing together.
Nothing wrong with free. :)
I use a nesco to dry my no 13 glass bead
Don't forget to mention silicosis, it's a horrible way to go

I am 100% sure you are not suppose to use actual sand for sandblasting.
Glad I could set you straight.
