That really isn’t that hot for m193. Winchester M193 is produced by Lake City which loads to military spec. Lake City M193 was tested with a 20” barrel and produced around 3,250 fps.

I bought a shitload of this last year when the ammo crunch was just beginning to end. Haven’t shot any of it yet, but was expecting better performance based on info directly from Igman.
On a side note, when I first discovered that Colt was shipping M4A1s with crush washers instead of peel washers, I did an accuracy test of a new 14.5” barrel with no muzzle device, compared to the same barrel with an A2 flash hider torqued to correct timing with a crush washer.
Accuracy dropped from 1.5 moa with match ammo to 3 moa with the same lot of ammo.
I mentioned it to a factory engineer that visited my facility during some later R&D consulting I was doing.
His response? They only have to beat 4 moa, so it’s within spec.
After a visit to his facility for further testing of the configuration my customer was selling, I wasn’t impressed. I can’t get more specific because of NDAs, which I’ve already been accused of violating.

I like it for having that double seal, however it is not as hot as Winchester M193 as I’ve learned today
Went to the range (indoors). Optic is zeroed perfectly beforehand. Igman is first up and my impacts are off. Adjust optic and continue.
Then I switch to Winchester and my impacts are way high so I adjust again and I lock it down.
I was also getting fireballs from the Winchester and not the Igman. Got an SJC Titan comp and deflector on the front end.

I also have a 20” FN double chrome lined barrel. It produces the highest velocity of all my 20” barrels. So this might be the absolute max velocity from a 20”. 3160 is not bad but it is 100 fps less than Lake City M193. PMC XTac M193 has even lower velocity than this Igman but I still buy the XTac for range plinking. Lake City is still the best imo because it’s Full power

Matt, is there any chance you could do another test of the Winchester Service Grade 115 gr FMJFN SG9W? Winchester customer service recently claimed a velocity of 1320 fps out of a 4” barrel. This is way faster than your test of four years ago.

    • @BuffRANGE
